BREAKING NEWS
IPNEWS: ANC Leader Alexander B. Cummings Unveils Comprehensive Roadmap for Liberia’s Transformation
Monrovia, Liberia — January 13, 2026
Independent Probe News (IPNEWS) reports that the Political Leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings, has unveiled a detailed and far-reaching roadmap aimed at transforming Liberia’s economy and governance ahead of the 2029 elections.
According to a policy document released on his official social media platforms, Mr. Cummings described Liberia as standing “at a critical crossroads,” stressing that the nation’s future hinges on visionary, competent, and accountable leadership capable of converting Liberia’s vast potential into sustainable development and shared prosperity.
IPNEWS observes that Mr. Cummings presented himself as a reform-oriented leader with the experience and commitment necessary to usher Liberia into what he described as “a new era of national renewal.”
Focus on Five Strategic Pillars
The roadmap, as outlined by the ANC leader, centers on five critical sectors: Education, Health, Agriculture, Industry, and Job Creation—areas he identified as essential to Liberia’s long-term stability and growth.
Education: Building Human Capital
Mr. Cummings emphasized that education remains the foundation of national development. His plan includes universal access to free, quality primary and secondary education, curricular reforms emphasizing STEM and vocational training, improved teacher welfare, and the modernization of school infrastructure nationwide.
IPNEWS notes that the ANC leader stressed bridging the urban-rural education gap through digital learning and improved facilities.
Health: Strengthening National Resilience
On healthcare, Mr. Cummings proposed the expansion of primary healthcare centers across all regions, enhanced training and retention of medical professionals, and increased investment in disease prevention and emergency preparedness.
He further committed to modernizing hospitals and clinics with improved equipment, medicines, and sanitation to ensure equitable access to healthcare services.
Agriculture: Driving Food Security and Growth
IPNEWS reports that agriculture featured prominently in the roadmap, with Mr. Cummings pledging to modernize farming through mechanization, improved seed varieties, and sustainable practices.
His plan also includes increased support for smallholder farmers, development of agro-processing facilities, land reform policies, and strengthened agricultural value chains to boost employment and exports.
Industry and Innovation: Diversifying the Economy
The ANC leader also outlined plans to stimulate industrial growth through reliable energy supply, improved infrastructure, public-private partnerships, and the creation of innovation hubs.
Regulatory reforms aimed at improving transparency and easing the cost of doing business were highlighted as key strategies to attract both local and foreign investment.
Job Creation: Empowering Liberians
On employment, Mr. Cummings promised targeted youth skills training, entrepreneurship support, public works programs, and inclusive labor policies to ensure fair wages and worker protections.
IPNEWS notes that he described job creation as central to poverty reduction and national stability.
Positioning Ahead of 2029
Political observers say the roadmap positions Alexander B. Cummings as a policy-driven contender ahead of the 2029 presidential elections. Supporters within the ANC describe the plan as “clear, actionable, and people-centered,” while emphasizing Mr. Cummings’ track record in leadership and philanthropy.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Cummings called on Liberians to unite around a shared vision for national renewal, urging citizens to focus on ideas and results rather than political rhetoric.
As Liberia moves closer to the next electoral cycle, IPNEWS will continue to monitor public response and political developments surrounding the ANC leader’s transformation agenda.

ANC Youth Sinoe Chapter Releases Statement as Former Campaigner Hon. Yeke Koluba Speaks Out in Greenville

The Alternative National Congress (ANC) Youth Council in Sinoe County has released a strong political commentary following Hon. Yeke Koluba’s public remarks in Greenville, where he openly expressed disappointment in the governing Unity Party—a government he once vigorously campaigned for.

Speaking before community members, Hon. Koluba did not hold back as he reflected on what he described as a widening gap between the Unity Party’s promises and its performance.

“I stood with this government. I used my voice, my time, and my strength because I believed in their message of accountability and change,” Hon. Koluba said. “But today, the reality on the ground shows that those promises are not being honored.”

According to Koluba, the growing frustration among Liberians—especially young people—is a result of unfulfilled commitments and a sense of abandonment by a government that once pledged a new direction.

“Our communities are still struggling. Our young people are still without jobs. Our counties continue to be sidelined in national decisions,” he stated. “And the same political arrogance we fought against is returning right before our eyes.”

The ANC Youth Sinoe Chapter emphasized that Koluba’s message resonates strongly with many former supporters across the country who now feel betrayed after defending and promoting the Unity Party during the campaign.

Koluba further stressed that patriotism should rise above party loyalty.

“Loyalty to Liberia must come before loyalty to any political institution,” he told the Greenville gathering. “When a government moves away from the values it preached, those who helped it rise to power have a responsibility to speak out—not to destroy, but to demand better.”

The ANC Youth in Sinoe echoed his sentiments, noting that Liberians who sacrificed their time and effort during the election deserve a government that listens, delivers, and respects the people’s trust.

“Enough is enough,” Koluba declared. “This is not about opposition or rivalry. This is about holding leadership accountable.”

The ANC Youth Chapter concluded that the Unity Party government must realign itself with the commitments it made to Liberians—or risk losing the confidence of those who once stood firmly behind it.
