The Vice President is claiming that he does not know Anthony. However, there are several photos showing him with Anthony, and in some of those photos, the Vice President's wife is also pictured with him.
These photos have raised serious public questions about the Vice President's relationship with Anthony. Some critics have alleged that senior government officials are shielding individuals linked to alleged drug activities, although these claims have not been proven in court.
There are also allegations surrounding the death of Mr. Tombey, with some people claiming it was connected to his discovery of suspicious items on yellow machines that entered through the National Port Authority. At this time, these allegations remain unverified.
Some observers believe that any additional names announced in connection with the case could be part of an effort to protect more powerful individuals. Others have also claimed that Paul King is not in prison and that he was escorted home by Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman before spending the night at the Inspector General's residence. These claims have not been independently verified.
Going forward, some believe that President Joseph Boakai may avoid making strong public comments on the matter while investigations continue. Whether this is true remains to be seen.

«"I reject Rodney Sieh's allegation on Spoon TV last night that I have an association with one Anthony seen in a group photo with me, who he alleged to have a link to drug-related activities.
As Vice President, I do take photos with many individuals at public and private events. I do not know Anthony, and the photo taken does not suggest my knowledge of any personal dealings he may be involved with.
As I stated when Clifford Payne, an official of the Group of 77, was arrested on November 24, 2025, in connection with allegations arising from a suspected drug case, I still maintain that if my wife, children, relatives, friends, political associates, and employees are connected to any drug-related activities, they should face the full weight of the law.
