A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
H.E. GEORGE MANNEH WEAH
Former President of the Republic of Liberia
& Standard Bearer of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)
December 24, 2025
As Christians in Liberia and around the world prepare to mark the sacred birth anniversary of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I entreat you, my fellow compatriots, to let this festive season be a time of renewal and reverence in your lives.
Christmas is a season of giving and remembering God's goodness, in spite of the challenges we face.
Each year serves to remind us of His presence and love for us. As Christians, we remain thankful to God for His indescribable gift of grace.
Through the years we have faced many trials as a nation and a people, but God has always remained by our side amid our difficulties, strengthening us and guiding our families. On this festive occasion, let's show gratitude through our deeds - toward our neighbors and our nation.
As we celebrate and draw the curtain on another year, I urge you to join me in remembering our nation and our people. Be a blessing to every heart that yearns and every soul that lacks, if you can.
May we also continue to pray for a peaceful and prosperous country.
Merry Christmas to all Liberians, irrespective of your political, religious and social persuation!
Permit me, however, to give a special acknowledgment to partisans of the CDC: Remain resilient; remain steadfast. Merry Christmas to you and all supporters and sympathizers of the Blue Revolution.
God Bless Us All!
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
