We are pleased to announce that Professor Augustine Konneh, PhD., will join the InterGenerational Political Dialogue. The Dr Konneh is currently the Senior Advisor to the President of Liberia.

He holds a Master’s and PhD in History, African Studies and Political Science from Indiana University in Bloomington, USA where he studied from 1987-1992. Before coming to his present position as Senior Advisor to the President of Liberia, he served as Dean of the Graduate School at the African Methodist Episcopal University in Monrovia, Liberia. Professor Konneh also served as Director-General of the Foreign Service Institute of Liberia (2009-2017), he was also a professor and chair of History at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia-USA from 1998-2008. Professor Konneh is a Fulbright Scholar, and his research interests are in the areas of Economic History of Liberia, peace and conflict studies, foreign policy, regional and global governance, and development studies.

The Movement for One Liberia (MOL) to host an Intergenerational political dialogue. The dialogue is a structured exchange between the young political enthusiasts and seniors political legends of our times which aimed at addressing National political issues, bridging ideological divides, and fostering long-term social cohesion. The event hopes to move beyond casual conversation by creating intentional space where participants from different generation and political persuasion to engage on an equal footing to share perspectives on governance, rights, and policy.

Mr. President, reaching the remarkable milestone of 80 years, blessed with good health, is truly a gift from God—one that not everyone is fortunate to experience. On this significant anniversary, the Movement for One Liberia wishes to thank you for the leadership you have provided since your inauguration. While we acknowledge your efforts thus far, we look forward to the introduction of more progressive policies that will bring swift and impactful change to the people of Liberia.
