Happy 179th Independence Day, Liberia! 🇱🇷
Everyone
Today, we celebrate the courage of those who laid the foundation of our Republic and honor the sacrifices that have preserved our freedom through generations.

But as we wave our flags and sing songs of patriotism, we must also ask ourselves a difficult question: What does independence truly mean for the young people who answered the call to strengthen our democracy?

The Rescue Mission First-Time Voters stood up when our country needed them most. We mobilized, inspired hope, and played our part in shaping the future of Liberia. Yet today, many of those same young people feel forgotten, overlooked, and left behind.

A nation cannot build a stronger future while neglecting the very generation that invested its trust in that future. Recognition, inclusion, and opportunity should never be reserved for a few, they must extend to the young Liberians who believed that their voices and votes could make a difference.

As we commemorate our independence, let this also be a reminder that the work of nation, building is incomplete until every young Liberian has a genuine place at the table.

Our disappointment does not diminish our patriotism. Instead, it strengthens our resolve to continue advocating for a Liberia where every sacrifice is valued, every voice is heard, and every first-time voter is treated as a partner in national development, not merely as an election-day statistic.

Happy Independence Day, Liberia. May the promise of our freedom become a reality for all.

As we wake up to this cloudy Friday morning, we wish to shine the light on our fallen soldier, Doris Quee

In the heat of the 2023 campaign, when the days were long, the nights were uncertain, and the pressure was real, Doris never once stepped back. She showed up, with strength, with belief, and with a heart fully committed to something bigger than herself. I remember that moment captured in this photo, Chairman Patrick Sherman and Doris standing together with a group of first-time voters across Districts 11 and 12, fueled by hope, driven by change. That was Doris, always present, always giving, always pushing.

And that’s what makes this loss so heavy.
Because she fought for a future she didn’t get to see. She gave her energy, her time, her voice, to a cause that has now become a reality… but without her here to witness it.

There’s something deeply painful about that. A kind of silence that victory cannot fill.

But even in that pain, there’s truth: Doris is part of this story. Her sacrifice, her commitment, her presence, they are woven into every step forward we take today.

We didn’t just lose a deputy coordinator… we lost a fighter, a believer, a light.

Rest well, Doris.
The government you believed in stands today because of people like you.

And we will never forget. Gweemei Koko Martee Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr Ansu Madusu Swaray II Unity Party Kelvin Cheaye Krahn Prince

We were loud during the campaign.
We were visible.
We delivered.

But let this be clear, we were never created just for elections.

The Rescue Mission First Time Voters is not a campaign tool.
It is a movement.

We believed in change. We stood for it. We fought for it.
And today, under the leadership of Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., that change is in motion.

But our job is not finished.

We are not here to clap blindly.
We are here to:
• Support progress
• Speak truth
• Hold the line for young people
• Demand inclusion where it matters

Because we didn’t vote just to celebrate.
We voted to be part of the future.

To every member, supporter, and first-time voter
Wake up. Reconnect. Re-engage.

The mission continues. Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr Patrick Sherman
