As we wake up to this cloudy Friday morning, we wish to shine the light on our fallen soldier, Doris Quee
In the heat of the 2023 campaign, when the days were long, the nights were uncertain, and the pressure was real, Doris never once stepped back. She showed up, with strength, with belief, and with a heart fully committed to something bigger than herself. I remember that moment captured in this photo, Chairman Patrick Sherman and Doris standing together with a group of first-time voters across Districts 11 and 12, fueled by hope, driven by change. That was Doris, always present, always giving, always pushing.
And that’s what makes this loss so heavy.
Because she fought for a future she didn’t get to see. She gave her energy, her time, her voice, to a cause that has now become a reality… but without her here to witness it.
There’s something deeply painful about that. A kind of silence that victory cannot fill.
But even in that pain, there’s truth: Doris is part of this story. Her sacrifice, her commitment, her presence, they are woven into every step forward we take today.
We didn’t just lose a deputy coordinator… we lost a fighter, a believer, a light.
Rest well, Doris.
The government you believed in stands today because of people like you.
