Liberia Land Authority Concludes Engagement to Strengthen Land Governance In B**g
B**G COUNTY, Liberia โ The Chairman of the Liberia Land Authority, Samuel F. Kpakio, has concluded an engagement tour in B**g County aimed at strengthening collaboration, promoting effective land governance, and increasing public awareness of land rights and land administration across Liberia.
Kpakio, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials and technical experts, held discussions with county authorities, local leaders, city mayors, and community residents during the visit, PROBE NEWSPAPER REPORTS.
Speaking at the engagement, Kpakio said discussions focused on strengthening collaboration with the LLA to fully implement its mandate and functions, as well as addressing issues related to land ownership, dispute resolution, customary land rights, and promoting transparent, accountable, and effective land administration.
He stated that the engagement forms part of the Authorityโs nationwide outreach initiative, aimed at fostering collaboration, building public trust, and advancing peaceful land governance across the country.
For her part, B**g County Superintendent Hawa Norris praised the Liberia Land Authority for engaging local stakeholders and communities on critical land issues affecting the county.
The B**g County visit forms part of a four-county engagement tour launched by the LLA on May 25, 2026, covering Lofa, B**g, Margibi, and Grand Bassa counties.
According to the Authority, the initiative seeks to deepen cooperation among local authorities, traditional leaders, judicial actors, civil society groups, and residents to address persistent land governance challenges and improve land administration services.
