Subject: Condemnation of Violence Against Honorable Prince A. Toles

The office of Honorable Prince A. Toles, Representative for District #8 in Montserrado, unequivocally condemns the violent act committed by misguided opposition members against the lawmaker on February 8, 2025, during the inaugural program of the newly elected leadership of Perry Street.

We wish to inform the general public and the citizens of District #8 that this attack was not spontaneous; it was a well-orchestrated and premeditated effort by certain opposition members to tarnish the reputation of Hon. Prince A. Toles and to falsely portray him as unpopular among his constituents.

We are actively collaborating with the Liberia National Police to ensure that those responsible for this attempted attack on the life of the representative are brought to justice. We are committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that all threats against the lawmaker and his family are taken seriously.

Justice will be served, and we assure you that those responsible for the events that transpired on Perry Street will face the full consequences of their actions. This is not a gangster state; Liberia is a nation governed by law. We will pursue this matter to its conclusion in court, ensuring that anyone who attempts to harm or kill the lawmaker is held accountable.

We also extend our gratitude to the Liberia National Police for their swift action in apprehending one of the key architects behind this planned violent attack against the lawmaker.

Thank you for your attention, and we encourage all citizens to remain vigilant and united against any form of violence.

Signed:
Joseph A. Abaka
Chief of Staff

Today, we held a comprehensive stakeholder meeting with the leadership of the Soniwine community, local residents, the Liberia National Police, and the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) to address the pressing issues of drug and substance abuse in our community.

During our discussions, we explored various solutions to combat these challenges. The citizens expressed a strong desire for a dedicated law enforcement presence and identified available land for this purpose. As a result, they overwhelmingly decided that establishing a police station in the community is essential.

As their lawmaker and representative on Capitol Hill, I am committed to making this vision a reality. I am proud to announce that we will begin the construction of a modern police station in the Soniwine community starting in February 2025.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our hardworking Chairperson, Madam Lovina, the community leadership, and all the residents for their unwavering support and engagement in this initiative.

This police station will serve as a crucial resource for law enforcement, enabling joint security to effectively combat drug-related issues and other crimes the soniwine community.

To the esteemed citizens of District #8 and Liberia,

I have been made aware of a post circulating on Facebook by an individual named Teah Wantoe Pekin, which includes screenshots of WhatsApp conversations allegedly between that person and myself discussing negotiations for n**e photos or videos. I want to clearly state that I have never engaged in any such discussions or activities. The information being spread on social media by Teah Wantoe Pekin is false, baseless, and intended to mislead and blackmail.

I want to reassure my family, constituents, supporters, and the general public that there are no n**e photos or videos of me in existence. Given the serious nature of these allegations and the potential financial implications, I am committed to upholding the rule of law and transparency. Therefore, I will be referring this matter to the Ministry of Justice for a thorough investigation to uncover the truth about the alleged WhatsApp exchanges.

I want to emphasize that my service to the people of District #8 and all Liberians is founded on principles of integrity, transparency, and trust. Our goal is to work towards a better Liberia that transcends political affiliations.

I am grateful for the continued support and love shown by the people of District #8 and all Liberians.
