CMC Appoints Kelvin Passawe, Varney Kiadii, and Musa S. Kamara to Key Leadership Positions
Monrovia, Liberia – The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), through its National Executive Committee (NEC), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kelvin Passawe as Vice Chair for Membership, Mr Varney Kiadii as Assistant Secretary for Membership, and Mr Musa S. Kamara as Vice Chair for Mobilisation.
These appointments form part of the Party's ongoing efforts to strengthen its organizational structure, expand membership recruitment, deepen grassroots engagement, and enhance nationwide mobilization as the Citizens Movement for Change continues to build a strong, people-centered political movement across Liberia.
Speaking on behalf of the National Executive Committee, National Chairman Mr. James M.V. Yougie expressed full confidence in the newly appointed officials and encouraged them to serve with discipline, integrity, and dedication.
"These appointments reflect CMC's commitment to building a stronger, more responsive, and people-centered institution," Chairman Yougie stated. "Each of these individuals brings valuable experience, leadership, and commitment that will contribute significantly to strengthening our Party structures, expanding our membership, and advancing our mission of national transformation."
Mr. Kelvin Passawe brings extensive experience in student leadership, youth mobilization, research, and humanitarian service. He previously served as Secretary General of the Student Democratic Alliance at the University of Liberia (STUDA), Vice Chair for Membership and Recruitment of the Liberty Party Youth Congress, and President of the Renaissance Youth Network of Liberia.
He also served as a Research Analyst in the Research Department of the House of Representatives and currently serves as National Youth Chairman of the CMC Youth Congress.
In line with his new appointment, Mr. Passawe will transition from his current position as National Youth Chairman of the CMC Youth Congress to assume his broader responsibilities within the Party's national leadership. The Party commends his outstanding contribution to youth mobilization and expresses confidence in his continued service at the national level.
As Vice Chair for Membership, Mr. Passawe will lead strategic membership recruitment and retention initiatives, oversee membership development programmes, strengthen Party structures across the country, and support the expansion of CMC's national membership base.
Mr. Varney Kiadii, a student at the University of Liberia, brings valuable experience in political mobilization, community leadership, and field operations. In 2017, he served as Chairman of the Movement for the Election of Brumskine (MOFEB) and currently serves as Vice Chair for Operations of the CMC National Youth Congress.
As Assistant Secretary for Membership, Mr. Kiadii will support membership records management, recruitment tracking, membership data coordination, and engagement activities across the Party's national, county, district, youth, and community structures.
Mr. Musa S. Kamara is a seasoned Liberian administrator, business executive, and development practitioner with over fifteen years of professional experience spanning public administration, corporate management, logistics, emergency response, and community development. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in organizational management, stakeholder engagement, and grassroots coordination, earning a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and effective service.
Mr Kamara currently serves as General Manager of Prince Walker Group of Companies, where he provides strategic leadership in organizational development, operational management, and business growth. His previous professional experience includes serving as General Manager at Semako International Shipping Company, Social Worker in the Child Justice Section of the Ministry of Justice, Logistics Officer at Buchanan Renewable Energy (BRE), and Field Supervisor at Merlin Liberia. During the 2014 Ebola outbreak, he also served as an Ebola Response and Peace Building Volunteer under the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNICEF Liberia, contributing to community awareness, humanitarian response, and national recovery efforts.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liberia Graduate School of Business and Public Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management from African Methodist Episcopal University. His extensive experience in leadership, recruitment, stakeholder engagement, and organizational development has equipped him with the skills to build teams, mobilize communities, and strengthen institutions.
As Vice Chair for Mobilization, Mr. Kamara will provide strategic leadership for the Party's national mobilization agenda. He will oversee grassroots organizing, coordinate nationwide membership engagement and volunteer recruitment, strengthen county, district, and community structures, and lead initiatives that expand the Party's presence throughout Liberia. Working closely with the National Executive Committee and other Party organs, he will help drive citizen participation and build an active, well-organized movement capable of advancing the Party's vision and objectives.
The National Executive Committee described these appointments as another important milestone in strengthening the Party's internal governance, expanding grassroots participation,
improving organizational effectiveness, and positioning the Citizens Movement for Change for greater national engagement and future electoral success.
The Citizens Movement for Change congratulates Mr. Passawe, Mr. Kiadii, and Mr. Kamara on their appointments and wishes them every success as they undertake their new responsibilities in service to the Party and the Liberian people.
