π World Environment Day 2026
How can effectively report on climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, environmental accountability, and the growing challenge of disinformation?
UNESCO and the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media have launched "Reporting the Environment: A Practical Manual for Journalists" β a new resource designed to strengthen environmental reporting through practical guidance, tools, case studies, and expert insights.
Developed in collaboration with leading global partners including Covering Climate Now, the Pulitzer Center, Fondation Hirondelle, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, EIF, and NICHE, the manual supports journalists, media trainers, journalism educators, and media organizations covering today's most pressing environmental issues.
ποΈ Join the accompanying webinar on 9 June, 2026 exploring the future of climate journalism, lessons from the Santa Marta meeting, and the realities facing journalists on the frontlines of environmental reporting.
