⚡ ENERGY FORUM 2026 once again proved why it has become one of the leading platforms for discussing energy security, transformation, and innovation in the Baltics and neighboring countries.

This year, the Forum brought together nearly 200 participants and 34 distinguished speakers from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, fostering meaningful dialogue on the future of energy, infrastructure, technology, and regional cooperation.

We were honored to welcome:
Žygimantas Vaičiūnas, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania and Taurimas Valys, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania

The Forum featured internationally recognised speakers and energy experts from Norway and the Baltic region, including Jarand Rystad (Rystad Energy), Thomas Bjørdal (Renergy), Ole Aune Ødegård (Nordic Energy Research), and Mindaugas Petrauskas (Höegh Evi).

Key discussions focused on:
🔹 Synchronization and regional integration of energy systems across Europe
🔹 Emerging technologies supporting the transition to more resilient energy systems
🔹 Strategic infrastructure and investment projects shaping the Baltic Sea region
🔹 Future scenarios for the Baltic energy market towards 2030

Throughout the Forum, speakers highlighted the growing importance of energy security, innovation, and infrastructure development in building a sustainable regional energy ecosystem.

Do you know how Lithuania’s largest office chair manufacturer got its name?
It means exactly what it sounds like - a throne sitting on the hill. And after visiting their brand-new factory Tronhill biuro kėdės this week, we can confidently say the name fits perfectly. ✨

We had the pleasure of visiting Tronhill biuro kėdės and exploring their impressive new production facility of more than 5,000 m². 🏭 A huge thank you to the company’s founder and incredibly welcoming host, our member Gintaras Bačiulis, for inviting our members to experience the factory, learn more about ergonomic seating, and discover their newest innovation - the multifunctional and physiotherapeutic chair Gabri Ergo Spine. 💺🩺

The presentation together with Lithuanian neurologist Jonas Girskis highlighted how modern office seating can positively contribute to our health and everyday wellbeing.

Since 2009, Tronhill has been designing and manufacturing office chairs with a strong focus on ergonomics and functional design, constantly searching for new solutions to improve daily office life. Last year, the company set itself an ambitious goal - to create the healthiest possible sitting experience. 🌿

Their bestseller Gabri chair, which received a design patent in 2023 and became highly popular in Lithuania and Scandinavia, inspired specialists from the Spine Treatment Center to further enhance its functionality — transforming sitting from simply comfortable into something truly beneficial for health. 🙌

During our visit, we were also introduced to the new facilities, enjoyed delicious snacks and drinks, and had the opportunity to better understand both the philosophy behind Tronhill and the importance of ergonomic seating. 🍷🥐

⚔️ Cultural Evening – Viking Boat Tour on the Neris River ⚔️

Experience ancient Viking life with traditional Viking songs, ship rowing on the Neris River, and a taste of Norwegian “water of life” – Aquavit. A unique cultural journey awaits! 🚣
Together with Baltic Vikings, a growing community of captains, educators, musicians, and living history enthusiasts, we will embark on a time-travel journey back to the 9th–11th centuries, when the Baltic rivers were full of trade, mysteries, and adventure.

During this 1.5-hour experience, we will row, sing ancient songs, share stories, take photos, and taste 4 types of Norwegian Aquavit – Gammel Opland, Arvesølvet, Løiten Sommer, and Linie – as well as homemade mead prepared by the Viking boat crew. Additional drinks such as beer and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

You will hear and experience tales of spices, textiles, jewelry, distant merchants, weapons, and the secrets of rulers – all brought to life on the river.
After the boat trip, we invite you to continue the evening with a dinner in the Old Town (venue TBA, at your own expense).
