Lithuania’s A+ credit rating is holding steady! 💪
Nearly a year after upgrading Lithuania from A to A+, has reaffirmed its assessment with a stable outlook.
The decision comes down to the following reasons:
✅ Strong and resilient economic growth, with Lithuania continuing to close the income gap with the eurozone.
✅ Sound public finances, with government debt at just 39.5% of GDP at the end of 2025 - among the lowest levels in the eurozone.
✅ An increasingly diversified economy, strengthening Lithuania’s ability to withstand external shocks.
✅ A strong institutional framework, underpinned by EU, eurozone and NATO membership.
And it is not an isolated assessment. Other international credit rating agencies, including Fitch and Moody’s, have also confirmed or strengthened Lithuania’s high standing in recent months.
Different agencies. A consistent signal: Lithuania’s economy continues to grow on strong and stable foundations. 📈
