IT Coalition - €1.5 billion for Ukraine’s digital defence
In 21st century warfare, resilient digital systems, secure & reliable communications in a contested environment and cyber defence capabilities are mission-critical.
Since late 2023, the now 18 member nations of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group IT Capability Coalition – led by Luxembourg & Estonia– are working together to strengthen Ukraine’s ICT and cyber defence capabilities.
To date, assistance worth €1.5 billion has been provided via:
➡️common procurement through NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA)
➡️and in-kind contributions.
The IT Coalition also serves as a platform for dialogue between experts. Hard-won knowledge and lessons learned on the battlefield and operational theatres are shared within the coalition’s three thematic working groups:
1) Battlefield Digital Innovation,
2) Cloud Services for Military Use &
3) Cyber Defence.
By sharing insights, members of the IT Coalition strengthen the ICT and cyber resilience of all participating nations.
