Every young person’s journey into the world of work starts with ambition, but turning ambition into opportunity is not always straightforward.

On International Youth Day, we recognise that young people need more than aspiration to succeed. They need access to the right skills, quality jobs and effective support that helps them make a confident transition into working life.

We have recently examined how the EU cohesion policy has supported youth employment, and whether it is delivering lasting results.
