Liepāja Beach Blue Flag white sand beach. Probably the best beach in the world. Beautiful and peaceful Liepaja city has plenty things to offer for its visitors.

Therefore, every year more and more city guests are leaving this place with the hope to come back here and to have perfect relaxation during the day time and more fun time in night clubs or bars with locals and other tourists during the night time. The Liepāja beach has been a popular swimming location since the 1860s, when the Russian tsars and their retinues began to visit here. The beach is 50

to 80 m wide when the wind is calm, and it has white fine sand which amazes even those people who have been to the world's most famous beach resorts. After a strong wind you can find some pieces of amber washed ashore. The Blue Flag is the most popular ecocertificate in the world. There are 29 criteria - quality of the water, safety, environmental education activities and information availability, services and facilities. Since 2001 each year the Blue Flag has been awarded to Liepāja beach.
