The Deputy Head of Mission Matija Bučar had the pleasure of visiting the stand of Slovenian student company ⚡️ at the GEN-E festival and competition, Europe’s largest youth entrepreneurship event. The product created by high school students, their innovative approach and entrepreneurial spirit are a great example of the creativity and talent of Slovenia’s 🇸🇮 next generation.

🥔 Happy International Day of Potato! 🥔

From fields to family tables, the potato has been bringing people together for centuries. Today, we celebrate this humble ingredient and all the delicious traditions it inspires.

For this occasion we are sharing a traditional side dish from Slovenia 🇸🇮 made with potatoes 🥔 - sautéed potatoes with onion or as we call them “pražen krompir”.

Mūs patiesi pārsteidza jaunie bišu 🐝 entuziasti no Jelgavas Tehnoloğiju vidusskolas, kuri pieliek pūles, lai aizsargātu un izpētītu šo apbrīnojamo apputeksnētāju nozīmi pasaulei🌍 un SIA Jelgavas klīnika 🏥 ar īstiem bišu stropiem uz jumta. Today, we 🇸🇮 celabrated International Bee Day by visiting 🇱🇻 Latvian Bee 🐝 city Jelgava to promote mutual cooperation with Latvia on different levels. We are trully astonished by the young bee 🐝 enthusiasts from Jelgava Technology Secondary School who are putting hands on effort to safe and explore importance of these amazing pollinators for the World🌍 and Jelgava Clinic 🏥 with actual beehives on the roof. We sincerely thank Jelgava for the warm welcome and new cooperation opportunities for our common goal - acknowledgment of importance of 🐝 and other pollinators for the 🌍 ecosystem.
