✨ Discover 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 at the CEE Animation Pitches in MIFA!

The upcoming Latvian animated short film 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 has been selected as one of just eight projects to be presented to international industry professionals at the CEE Animation Pitches during MIFA.

Directed by Anete Melece and produced by Studija Lokomotīve (Latvia) and Holaus Animation (Switzerland), the witty and ironic 2D animated short explores the chaos that erupts in a flat world after the sun is stolen.

👏 In Annecy, the project will be represented by director Anete Melece and producer Roberts Vinovskis (Studija Lokomotīve), who will be seeking international co-production partners and additional financing opportunities.

Latvia’s participation in Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy and MIFA is organised by the Latvian Animation Association with support from the Kino centrs and Valsts kultūrkapitāla fonds.

🟢 Applications for the 6th season of 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 are now open!

The programme brings together emerging professionals from 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚, 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐯𝐢𝐚, 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚 and, for the first time this year, 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 for seven months of mentorship, networking, workshops and industry events designed to support their professional growth and future projects.

💡 Selected participants will be matched with experienced mentors, gain access to an international network of industry professionals, and take part in activities focused on career growth, as well as navigating the audiovisual sector.
