Sometimes, when you’re studying abroad, location matters, and for me Daugavpils is the perfect blend
of calm, nature, and unique charm. What I love most about studying here is the little things: picking wild strawberries in the forest, exploring hidden spots along the Daugava River, and sharing these moments with the beautiful friends I’ve made along the way 🫶🏻💕

Over the weekend, on June 19–21, the team is attending the Bērzes Strazdi “Jāņu festivāls 2026” in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 – at the historic Latvian Cultural Centre "Straumēni".

We are especially looking forward to meeting with the Latvian diaspora, as well as everyone interested in studying in Latvia by sharing information, answering questions, and connecting through shared experiences.

On June 13–14, Embassy of Latvia in Japan　駐日ラトビア共和国大使館 with Latvijas Universitāte and RTU - Riga Technical University participated in the Study In Europe Fair in Tokyo and Kyoto. 🇯🇵

Over the two days, many students, parents, educators, and professionals stopped by to reach out about studying in Latvia and the higher education opportunities available at Latvian universities. 🎓

From engineering and technology to business, social sciences and international relations, visitors were eager to discover Latvia’s wide range of study programmes.

Today, 13th June, .photowalks organised a Photowalk event around Sarkandaugava!

During this event, we learnt about the history of Dauderis villa and family, Aldaris beer brewery, why Sarkandaugava is called red, walked around the district and saw old factory buildings and other beautiful places!

Photowalks are organised regularly and are free of charge, allowing international students to learn about history of different parts of Rīga, and taking beautiful pictures!

Unfortunately, a reel cannot fully capture all we saw and stunning greenery we came across as well as the fun of taking portraits of each other!
