Team Kwaj Commander U.S. Army Astronaut serving as leader of TEAM KWAJ and Commander, USAG-Kwajalein Atoll, RMI 🇲🇭 Dr. Andrew “Drew” Morgan took command of the U.S.

Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll on June 28, 2023. His duties are numerous and accomplished through teamwork and assistance from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, military, civilian and contract personnel. They include custodianship of the garrison, a strategic Department of Defense asset, support for U.S. Embassy Majuro, and stewardship of the health and safety of all atoll residents. Morgan is

an emergency physician in the U.S. Army with sub-specialty certification in primary care sports medicine. He served in elite special operations units worldwide prior to his selection to NASA’s 21st group of astronauts in 2013. He served as flight engineer on the International Space Station for Expedition 60, 61 and 62. Morgan was born in Morgantown, West Virginia to a military family. He graduated from Dover High School, Dover, Delaware, in 1994; earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York, in 1998; Doctorate in Medicine from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland, in 2002; completed residency in emergency medicine, Madigan-University of Washington Emergency Medicine Residency, Tacoma, Washington, in 2005; completed fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, Fairfax, Virginia, in 2013; Master of Strategic Studies, U.S. Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 2022.
