**Official Notice: Consensus Election Meetings for Iroij & Likiep Owner Seats – Constitutional Convention 2026**
Pursuant to the **Constitutional Convention Act 2026 (P.L. 2026‑62)** and the **Local Government Act 1980 (Division 2 – Election by Consensus)**, the Electoral Administration hereby announces the schedule of **Election Meetings for the 12 Iroij domains and the Owner of Likiep**.
🗓 Election Meeting Schedule
Two election meetings shall be convened for each domain, one week apart, as follows:
- **Meeting 1** – [Week of June 2-5]
- **Meeting 2** – [Week of June 8-12]
📌 Purpose
The purpose of these meetings is to reach **consensus agreement** on the candidate to represent:
- Each of the **12 Iroij domains**, and
- The **Owner of Likiep**,
at the upcoming **Constitutional Convention 2026**.
📜 Process
- Meetings shall be conducted in the **customary manner of consensus election**, as defined under **§125–129 of the Local Government Act 1980**.
- Certifying officers will preside and declare results in accordance with statutory requirements.
