August 29,2019 - Workshop on the Integration of the Economic Policy Statement (EPS) and the Development Finance Assessment into the RMI National Strategic Plan(NSP). Officials gathered to discuss the progress of the development finance assessment.

The purpose of the workshop is to try and integrate the EPS with the NSP in oder to monitor the government's finances and whether it is being used effectively towards development.

Participants were NSP Steering Committee and Sector Chairs.

This morning our Performance Monitoring and Evaluation/Aid Coordination Unit, Ms. Dahlia Kaneko and Ms. Eseta Cama, gave a presentation to Waan Aelon in Majel (WAM) Students on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and how they are incorporated into our National Strategic Plan (NSP). The students then presented on which SDG they felt was of most importance to the Marshall Islands.

We are proud to announce the end of another successful practicum program with Marshall Islands High School (MIHS) and Majuro Cooperative High School (COOP). Next year we will host new students and continue the work of preparing our youth for their professional careers. We wish our practicum students, Aeikolynn Matthew from MIHS (pictured below) and Tristan Horiuchi and Duke Heine from COOP, all the best with their studies and future endeavors.

As we bid farewell to our practicum students, we warmly welcome Ms. Davina Nathan. Nathan starts today as the Assistant Project Manager for the upcoming Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES). We look forward to having her here at EPPSO and are glad to have her on our team.
