UPDATE..

The 2026 Annual JEMFAC Meeting was held on August 25, 2026 and covered key priorities for the Marshall Islands, including the RMI economic outlook, effective use of Compact Economic Assistance, Single Audit updates, financial management strengthening, the Majuro Solid Waste Dumpsite Elimination Project, and the RMI Budget & Investment Framework.

The meeting also reviewed priority infrastructure projects, health and education performance indicators linked to the FY2027 AIP, prior-year resolutions, the Section 264 Report, the FY2027 Annual Implementation Plan, and the Government Accountability Office’s statutory reporting mandate.

Audit Updates: FY2024 Government-Wide Audit is nearing completion, with draft reports received July 31 and finalization expected by the end of August. Progress continues toward the audit catch-up targets, supported by additional accounting positions, weekly audit meetings, and ongoing Technical Assistance under the U.S. Single Audit grant.

The RMI remains committed to strengthening financial management, accountability, and the effective use of Compact resources to support sustainable economic growth and prosperity.
