If you do not know whom to address, call or email to ▶️Nevenka Stamenkovska Stojkovski in Gazi Baba or ▶️Verche Lazarova (verche.lazarova(at)eu4m.mk), who both volunteered to serve as a central contact point.

The service is free-of-charge (if it does not require too much efforts to answer your question), as all certified trainers are permanently employed by either a municipality or planning region and will not refuse to help their colleagues, without the need for a formal inter-municipal cooperation agreement. However, if additional research or analysis is needed you will need to agree on a cost covering solution.

You can also ask for an in-house workshop or training.

Tourism is important for the development of rural areas, and destination management is a key part of the 🇲🇰 national tourism strategy, said the Minister for Culture & Tourism, Zoran Ljutkov. 🔺Povardarie🔻 is a region with high potential and the inter-municipal cooperation of 11 municipalities will definitely boost the development.

The 🇪🇺 EUMEL 🏆 arrived in Prespes 🇬🇷 and Pustec 🇦🇱. Both municipalities were awarded the EU4M Municipal Excellence Label (“EUMEL”) on 28/04/2026 and the statutes handed over to Resen by the EU Ambassador and the Minister for European Affairs in presence of other ministers, ambassadors and mayors. Resen, Prespes, and Pustec received this in honour for their “outstanding engagement in cross-border cooperation” and their efforts to establish the first-ever European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) in North Macedonia 🇲🇰.

05/05/2026 - Prespes GR - Visit to the border crossing Markova Noga 🇲🇰/🇬🇷Laimos ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/8QDUbx6Ch1M7jsDL6?g_st=ic ) on the Greek side. Impressive progress of the construction works on North Macedonian side. According to Greek officials the border might open in 2028. The EU provided 13 Mill. EUR to Greece for the construction works via various instruments. However some obstacles, technical and organisational, still exist. People on both sides are looking forward to the opening, after more than 60 years. supports the Prespa region for setting up a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) between the municipalities in North Macedonia, Greece, and Albania. The visit was part of a study tour and workshop organised by EU4M.

🍷WIneries are essential for tourism in a wine region like - even if tourists less and less come for buying or drinking the wine, but just to enjoy the "region". Small wineries like are responding to this trend by offering a "product" consisting of hospitality, tasting, smelling, feeling the culture 😎, - and selling a high quality specific wine from the terroir. ✅ 1,500 representatives trained from municipalities and planning regions
2️⃣7️⃣ trainers trained and (re-)certified, building long-term internal capacity within municipalities and planning regions
👩💻 1 national helpdesk system established, providing ad-hoc expert and peer-to-peer support
✅ 81 municipalities supported, ensuring full national coverage and impact
8️⃣ EU-funded grant projects implemented by municipalities, delivering concrete and citizens-oriented results
🔗 11 municipalities forming the Povardarie DMO, with directly supporting regional tourism cooperation
📍 6+ EU countries engaged through study visits and partnerships, including Germany, France, Greece, Spain, Belgium and Latvia

❗ Additional support for EU project applications in numbers:
