UEJL forcon bashkëpunimin me ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics

Universiteti i Evropës Juglindore vazhdon të zgjerojë bashkëpunimin e tij ndërkombëtar me ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, një nga institucionet më prestigjioze në botë në fushën e informacionit dhe kërkimit ekonomik.

Si biblioteka më e madhe në botë për ekonomi dhe një qendër udhëheqëse ndërkombëtare e informacionit shkencor, ZBW u ofron studiuesve dhe studentëve qasje në burime të nivelit të lartë shkencor dhe zhvillon EconBiz, një nga portalet më të rëndësishme globale për kërkim në ekonomi dhe studime të biznesit.

South East European University continues to expand its international partnerships through its collaboration with ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, one of the world's most prestigious institutions in the field of economic information and research.

As the world's largest library for economics and a leading international information centre, ZBW provides researchers and students with access to outstanding scientific resources and develops EconBiz, one of the world's leading research portals for economics and business studies.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, recently renewed by the two institutions, SEEU will continue to promote the use of EconBiz and strengthen international academic cooperation, creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and academic staff.

Biblioteka "Maks van der Shtul" në Simpoziumin Ndërkombëtar në Oslo

Përfaqësues të Universitetit të Evropës Juglindore morën pjesë në Simpoziumin Ndërkombëtar "Ndërtimi i kapaciteteve në bibliotekarinë digjitale dhe shkencën e hapur", të mbajtur në Kristiania University College of Applied Sciences, Oslo, Norvegji, në kuadër të projektit Erasmus+ KA210 – "Fuqizimi i profesionistëve të informacionit përmes bashkëpunimit ndërkombëtar dhe zhvillimit të kompetencave digjitale".

Universiteti i Evropës Juglindore u përfaqësua nga Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuhi Besimi (Fakulteti i Shkencave dhe Teknologjive Bashkëkohore – CST), Prof. Dr. Mennan Selimi (Instituti "Max van der Stoel"), Lindita Miftari, përgjegjëse e Kampusit të SEEU në Shkup dhe Elmedina Abdullahi, përgjegjëse e Bibliotekës "Maks van der Shtul".

Gjatë simpoziumit u prezantuan me sukses dy projekte të rëndësishme të Universitetit të Evropës Juglindore – AI @ SEEU dhe ChallengeEU, si dhe u prezantua modeli i organizimit dhe funksionimit të Bibliotekës "Maks van der Shtul", së bashku me përvojën e organizimit të simpoziumit ndërkombëtar në Maqedoninë e Veriut.

Gjatë prezantimeve dhe vizitës, delegacioni u nderua me praninë e Ambasadorit Driton Kuqi, mbështetja e të cilit theksoi rëndësinë e bashkëpunimit ndërkombëtar në fushën e arsimit dhe bibliotekarisë. Si pjesë e programit, pjesëmarrësit realizuan një vizitë profesionale në Bibliotekën Kombëtare në Oslo, ku u njohën nga afër me praktikat e ruajtjes, digjitalizimit dhe menaxhimit të koleksioneve. Më tej, delegacioni zhvilloi një vizitë profesionale në Universitetin e Oslos dhe në Bibliotekën e Universitetit të Oslos, duke shkëmbyer përvoja dhe duke eksploruar mundësi për bashkëpunim të mëtejshëm akademik.

Pjesëmarrja në këtë simpozium kontribuoi në shkëmbimin e përvojave dhe forcimin e bashkëpunimit ndërkombëtar në fushën e bibliotekarisë digjitale, shkencës së hapur dhe transformimit digjital në arsimin e lartë.

Библиотеката „Макс ван дер Штул“ на Меѓународен симпозиум во Осло

Претставници на Универзитетот на Југоисточна Европа учествуваа на Меѓународниот симпозиум „Градење капацитети во дигиталното библиотекарство и отворената наука“, кој се одржа на Универзитетскиот колеџ за применети науки Кристијанија во Осло, Норвешка, во рамките на проектот Erasmus+ KA210 – „Зајакнување на информатичките професионалци преку меѓународна соработка и развој на дигитални компетенции“.

Универзитетот на Југоисточна Европа беше претставен од вонр. проф. д-р Нухи Бесими (Факултет за современи науки и технологии – CST), проф. д-р Менан Селими (Институт „Макс ван дер Штул“), Линдита Мифтари, раководител на кампусот на УЈИЕ во Скопје, и Елмедина Абдулахи, раководител на Библиотеката „Макс ван дер Штул“.

За време на симпозиумот успешно беа претставени два значајни проекти на Универзитетот на Југоисточна Европа – AI @ SEEU и ChallengeEU, како и моделот на организација и функционирање на Библиотеката „Макс ван дер Штул“, заедно со искуствата од организацијата на меѓународниот симпозиум во Северна Македонија.

Во текот на презентациите и посетата, делегацијата имаше чест да биде придружувана од амбасадорот Дритон Кучи, чија поддршка ја нагласи важноста на меѓународната соработка во областа на образованието и библиотекарството.

Како дел од програмата, учесниците реализираа професионална посета на Националната библиотека во Осло, каде што се запознаа со практиките за зачувување, дигитализација и управување со библиотечните колекции. Делегацијата, исто така, оствари посета на Универзитетот во Осло и Универзитетската библиотека во Осло, при што беа разменети искуства и беа разгледани можности за понатамошна академска соработка.

Учеството на овој симпозиум придонесе за размена на искуства и зајакнување на меѓународната соработка во областа на дигиталното библиотекарство, отворената наука и дигиталната трансформација во високото образование.

Max van der Stoel Library Participates in International Symposium in Oslo

Representatives of South East European University participated in the International Symposium “Capacity Building in Digital Librarianship and Open Science”, held at Kristiania University College of Applied Sciences in Oslo, Norway, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA210 project “Empowering Information Professionals through International Cooperation and Digital Competence Development”.

South East European University was represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuhi Besimi (Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies – CST), Prof. Dr. Mennan Selimi (Max van der Stoel Institute), Lindita Miftari, Head of the SEEU Skopje Campus, and Elmedina Abdullahi, Head of the Max van der Stoel Library.

During the symposium, two major SEEU initiatives – AI @ SEEU and ChallengeEU – were successfully presented, together with the organizational and operational model of the Max van der Stoel Library and SEEU’s experience in organizing an international symposium in North Macedonia.

During the presentations and study visit, the delegation was honoured by the presence of Ambassador Driton Kuqi, whose support highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the fields of education and librarianship.

As part of the programme, participants conducted a professional visit to the National Library of Norway in Oslo, where they learned about best practices in preservation, digitization, and collection management. The delegation also visited the University of Oslo and the University of Oslo Library, exchanging experiences and exploring opportunities for further academic collaboration.

Participation in this symposium contributed to the exchange of expertise and the strengthening of international cooperation in the fields of digital librarianship, open science, and digital transformation in higher education.

Universiteti i Evropës Juglindore (UEJL) është renditur i treti në Maqedoninë e Veriut dhe i 33-ti në Ballkan sipas rangimit më të ri Academic Ranking of Balkan Universities (ARBU).
Rangimi përfshin 324 universitete, mbi 33 mijë profesorë dhe studiues, si dhe më shumë se 19.7 milionë citime shkencore të regjistruara në Google Scholar. UEJL është vlerësuar me 53.739 citime shkencore dhe 170 profesorë e studiues të përfshirë në analizë.
Ky rezultat konfirmon pozitën e UEJL-së si një nga institucionet akademike me ndikimin më të madh shkencor në vend dhe rajon, duke reflektuar përkushtimin e vazhdueshëm ndaj kërkimit shkencor, inovacionit dhe ndërkombëtarizimit.

UEJL konfirmohet si universiteti më i vlerësuar nga Maqedonia e Veriut në Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

Universiteti i Evropës Juglindore (UEJL) vazhdon të forcojë profilin e tij ndërkombëtar, duke u renditur si universiteti më i vlerësuar nga Maqedonia e Veriut në Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, një nga rangimet më të rëndësishme globale që vlerëson kontributin e universiteteve ndaj Qëllimeve të Zhvillimit të Qëndrueshëm të Kombeve të Bashkuara.

Rezultati më i rëndësishëm i UEJL-së në këtë rangim është arritur në kategorinë SDG 4 – Cilësia në Arsim, ku universiteti është renditur në grupin 401–600 të universiteteve më të mira në botë. Në këtë kategori, Times Higher Education vlerëson qasjen në arsim cilësor, përfshirjen sociale, mbështetjen për studentët, edukimin gjatë gjithë jetës dhe ndikimin e universitetit në sistemin arsimor. Ky pozicionim e bën UEJL-në universitetin më të vlerësuar nga Maqedonia e Veriut dhe universitetin shqiptar me renditjen më të lartë në rajon në këtë kategori.

UEJL ka shënuar rezultate të rëndësishme edhe në kategori të tjera të zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm, përfshirë barazinë gjinore, reduktimin e pabarazive, veprimin klimatik, paqen, drejtësinë dhe institucionet e forta. Këto rezultate janë pjesë e metodologjisë së Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, e cila vlerëson universitetet jo vetëm përmes publikimeve shkencore, por edhe përmes ndikimit të tyre në komunitet, mbështetjes për studentët, gjithëpërfshirjes dhe kontributit ndaj 17 Qëllimeve të Zhvillimit të Qëndrueshëm të OKB-së. Në këtë kontekst, pozicionimi i UEJL-së dëshmon përkushtimin e vazhdueshëm të universitetit ndaj arsimit cilësor, përgjegjësisë shoqërore dhe zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm, duke konfirmuar rolin e tij si institucion që e lidh misionin akademik me ndikimin real në shoqëri dhe komunitet.

Rëndësia e këtij rezultati bëhet edhe më e madhe duke pasur parasysh rritjen e konkurrencës globale. Në edicionin e vitit 2025 të këtij rangimi janë përfshirë 2,526 universitete nga 130 vende dhe territore, krahasuar me 2,152 universitete nga 125 vende në vitin 2024.

Përkushtimi i UEJL-së ndaj Agjendës 2030 dhe Qëllimeve të Zhvillimit të Qëndrueshëm dëshmohet edhe përmes përfshirjes së universitetit në Koalicionin Universitar SustainED, një iniciativë e promovuar nga Zyra e Koordinatorit Rezident të Kombeve të Bashkuara në Maqedoninë e Veriut. Универзитетот на Југоисточна Европа (УЈИЕ) продолжува да ја зајакнува својата позиција на меѓународните рангирања, позиционирајќи се како највисоко оценет универзитет од Северна Македонија на престижниот Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, каде што УЈИЕ е оценет за својот значаен придонес кон Целите за одржлив развој на Обединетите нации (Sustainable Development Goals SDG).

Најзначајниот резултат на УЈИЕ во ова рангирање е постигнат во категоријата SDG 4 – квалитетно образование, каде што универзитетот е рангиран во групата од 401–600 најдобри универзитети во светот. Во оваа категорија, Times Higher Education го оценува пристапот до квалитетно образование, социјалната инклузија, поддршката за студентите, доживотното учење и влијанието на универзитетот во образовниот систем. Со ова позиционирање УЈИЕ е најдобро оценет универзитет од Северна Македонија и универзитет на албански јазик со највисок ранг во регионов во оваа категорија.

УЈИЕ забележа значајни резултати и во други категории за одржлив развој, вклучувајќи ги родовата еднаквост, намалувањето на нееднаквостите, климатската акција, како и мирот, правдата и силните институции. Овие резултати се дел од методологијата на Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, со која универзитетите се оценуваат не само преку научните публикации, туку и преку нивното влијание во заедницата, поддршката за студентите, инклузивноста и придонесот кон 17-те Цели за одржлив развој на ОН. Во овој контекст, позиционирањето на УЈИЕ ја докажува континуираната посветеност на Универзитетот кон квалитетното образование, општествената одговорност и одржливиот развој, потврдувајќи ја неговата улога како институција која ја поврзува својата академска мисија со реалното влијание врз општеството и заедницата.

Важноста на овој резултат е уште поголема поради сè посилната глобална конкуренција. Во изданието на ова рангирање за 2025 година учествуваа 2.526 универзитети од 130 земји и територии, во споредба со 2.152 универзитети од 125 земји во 2024 година.

Посветеноста на УЈИЕ кон Агендата 2030 и Целите за одржлив развој дополнително се потврдува со неговото вклучување во Универзитетската коалиција SustainED. Оваа иницијатива е промовирана од Канцеларијата на постојаниот координатор на Обединетите нации во Северна Македонија. Коалицијата има за цел да ја зајакне улогата на универзитетите во спроведувањето на целите за одржлив развој преку образование, научни истражувања, иновации, ангажман на студентите и соработка со заедницата.

Учеството на УЈИЕ во оваа платформа, заедно со постигнатите резултати на Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, ја потврдува стратешката ориентација на универзитетот кон квалитетно образование, одржлив развој и градење на поинкузивно општество.

SEEU Confirmed as the Highest-Ranked University from North Macedonia in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

The South East European University (SEEU) continues to strengthen its international profile by ranking as the highest-rated university from North Macedonia in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025. This is one of the most prominent global rankings evaluating university contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SEEU’s most significant achievement in this ranking was reached in the SDG 4 category – Quality Education, where the university placed in the 401–600 bracket of the world's best universities. In this category, Times Higher Education assesses access to quality education, social inclusion, student support, lifelong learning, and the university's impact on the education system. This positioning makes SEEU the highest-rated university from North Macedonia and the highest-ranking Albanian-language university in the region within this category.

SEEU also recorded significant results in other sustainable development categories, including gender equality, reduced inequalities, climate action, peace, justice, and strong institutions. These results are part of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings methodology, which evaluates universities not only through scientific publications but also through their community impact, student support, inclusivity, and contributions to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this context, SEEU’s positioning demonstrates the university's ongoing commitment to quality education, social responsibility, and sustainable development, confirming its role as an institution that connects its academic mission with real-world impact on society and the community.

The importance of this result is amplified by growing global competition. The 2025 edition of this ranking featured 2,526 universities from 130 countries and territories, compared to 2,152 universities from 125 countries in 2024.

SEEU’s commitment to Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals is further evidenced by its inclusion in the SustainED University Coalition. This initiative is promoted by the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia. The coalition aims to strengthen the role of universities in implementing sustainable development goals through education, scientific research, innovation, student engagement, and community collaboration.

SEEU’s participation in this platform, along with the results achieved in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, confirms the university's strategic orientation toward quality education, sustainable development, and building a more inclusive society.
