UEJL konfirmohet si universiteti më i vlerësuar nga Maqedonia e Veriut në Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

Universiteti i Evropës Juglindore (UEJL) vazhdon të forcojë profilin e tij ndërkombëtar, duke u renditur si universiteti më i vlerësuar nga Maqedonia e Veriut në Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, një nga rangimet më të rëndësishme globale që vlerëson kontributin e universiteteve ndaj Qëllimeve të Zhvillimit të Qëndrueshëm të Kombeve të Bashkuara.

Rezultati më i rëndësishëm i UEJL-së në këtë rangim është arritur në kategorinë SDG 4 – Cilësia në Arsim, ku universiteti është renditur në grupin 401–600 të universiteteve më të mira në botë. Në këtë kategori, Times Higher Education vlerëson qasjen në arsim cilësor, përfshirjen sociale, mbështetjen për studentët, edukimin gjatë gjithë jetës dhe ndikimin e universitetit në sistemin arsimor. Ky pozicionim e bën UEJL-në universitetin më të vlerësuar nga Maqedonia e Veriut dhe universitetin shqiptar me renditjen më të lartë në rajon në këtë kategori.

UEJL ka shënuar rezultate të rëndësishme edhe në kategori të tjera të zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm, përfshirë barazinë gjinore, reduktimin e pabarazive, veprimin klimatik, paqen, drejtësinë dhe institucionet e forta. Këto rezultate janë pjesë e metodologjisë së Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, e cila vlerëson universitetet jo vetëm përmes publikimeve shkencore, por edhe përmes ndikimit të tyre në komunitet, mbështetjes për studentët, gjithëpërfshirjes dhe kontributit ndaj 17 Qëllimeve të Zhvillimit të Qëndrueshëm të OKB-së. Në këtë kontekst, pozicionimi i UEJL-së dëshmon përkushtimin e vazhdueshëm të universitetit ndaj arsimit cilësor, përgjegjësisë shoqërore dhe zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm, duke konfirmuar rolin e tij si institucion që e lidh misionin akademik me ndikimin real në shoqëri dhe komunitet.

Rëndësia e këtij rezultati bëhet edhe më e madhe duke pasur parasysh rritjen e konkurrencës globale. Në edicionin e vitit 2025 të këtij rangimi janë përfshirë 2,526 universitete nga 130 vende dhe territore, krahasuar me 2,152 universitete nga 125 vende në vitin 2024.

Përkushtimi i UEJL-së ndaj Agjendës 2030 dhe Qëllimeve të Zhvillimit të Qëndrueshëm dëshmohet edhe përmes përfshirjes së universitetit në Koalicionin Universitar SustainED, një iniciativë e promovuar nga Zyra e Koordinatorit Rezident të Kombeve të Bashkuara në Maqedoninë e Veriut. Ky koalicion synon të forcojë rolin e universiteteve në zbatimin e objektivave të zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm përmes arsimit, kërkimit shkencor, inovacionit, angazhimit studentor dhe bashkëpunimit me komunitetin.

Pjesëmarrja e UEJL-së në këtë platformë, së bashku me rezultatet e arritura në Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, konfirmon orientimin strategjik të universitetit drejt arsimit cilësor, zhvillimit të qëndrueshëm dhe ndërtimit të një shoqërie më gjithëpërfshirëse.

УЈИЕ се потврдува како највисоко оценет универзитет во Северна Македонија во Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

Универзитетот на Југоисточна Европа (УЈИЕ) продолжува да ја зајакнува својата позиција на меѓународните рангирања, позиционирајќи се како највисоко оценет универзитет од Северна Македонија на престижниот Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, каде што УЈИЕ е оценет за својот значаен придонес кон Целите за одржлив развој на Обединетите нации (Sustainable Development Goals SDG).

Најзначајниот резултат на УЈИЕ во ова рангирање е постигнат во категоријата SDG 4 – квалитетно образование, каде што универзитетот е рангиран во групата од 401–600 најдобри универзитети во светот. Во оваа категорија, Times Higher Education го оценува пристапот до квалитетно образование, социјалната инклузија, поддршката за студентите, доживотното учење и влијанието на универзитетот во образовниот систем. Со ова позиционирање УЈИЕ е најдобро оценет универзитет од Северна Македонија и универзитет на албански јазик со највисок ранг во регионов во оваа категорија.

УЈИЕ забележа значајни резултати и во други категории за одржлив развој, вклучувајќи ги родовата еднаквост, намалувањето на нееднаквостите, климатската акција, како и мирот, правдата и силните институции. Овие резултати се дел од методологијата на Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, со која универзитетите се оценуваат не само преку научните публикации, туку и преку нивното влијание во заедницата, поддршката за студентите, инклузивноста и придонесот кон 17-те Цели за одржлив развој на ОН. Во овој контекст, позиционирањето на УЈИЕ ја докажува континуираната посветеност на Универзитетот кон квалитетното образование, општествената одговорност и одржливиот развој, потврдувајќи ја неговата улога како институција која ја поврзува својата академска мисија со реалното влијание врз општеството и заедницата.

Важноста на овој резултат е уште поголема поради сè посилната глобална конкуренција. Во изданието на ова рангирање за 2025 година учествуваа 2.526 универзитети од 130 земји и територии, во споредба со 2.152 универзитети од 125 земји во 2024 година.

Посветеноста на УЈИЕ кон Агендата 2030 и Целите за одржлив развој дополнително се потврдува со неговото вклучување во Универзитетската коалиција SustainED. Оваа иницијатива е промовирана од Канцеларијата на постојаниот координатор на Обединетите нации во Северна Македонија. Коалицијата има за цел да ја зајакне улогата на универзитетите во спроведувањето на целите за одржлив развој преку образование, научни истражувања, иновации, ангажман на студентите и соработка со заедницата.

Учеството на УЈИЕ во оваа платформа, заедно со постигнатите резултати на Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, ја потврдува стратешката ориентација на универзитетот кон квалитетно образование, одржлив развој и градење на поинкузивно општество.

SEEU Confirmed as the Highest-Ranked University from North Macedonia in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

The South East European University (SEEU) continues to strengthen its international profile by ranking as the highest-rated university from North Macedonia in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025. This is one of the most prominent global rankings evaluating university contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SEEU’s most significant achievement in this ranking was reached in the SDG 4 category – Quality Education, where the university placed in the 401–600 bracket of the world's best universities. In this category, Times Higher Education assesses access to quality education, social inclusion, student support, lifelong learning, and the university's impact on the education system. This positioning makes SEEU the highest-rated university from North Macedonia and the highest-ranking Albanian-language university in the region within this category.

SEEU also recorded significant results in other sustainable development categories, including gender equality, reduced inequalities, climate action, peace, justice, and strong institutions. These results are part of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings methodology, which evaluates universities not only through scientific publications but also through their community impact, student support, inclusivity, and contributions to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this context, SEEU’s positioning demonstrates the university's ongoing commitment to quality education, social responsibility, and sustainable development, confirming its role as an institution that connects its academic mission with real-world impact on society and the community.

The importance of this result is amplified by growing global competition. The 2025 edition of this ranking featured 2,526 universities from 130 countries and territories, compared to 2,152 universities from 125 countries in 2024.

SEEU’s commitment to Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals is further evidenced by its inclusion in the SustainED University Coalition. This initiative is promoted by the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia. The coalition aims to strengthen the role of universities in implementing sustainable development goals through education, scientific research, innovation, student engagement, and community collaboration.

SEEU’s participation in this platform, along with the results achieved in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, confirms the university's strategic orientation toward quality education, sustainable development, and building a more inclusive society.

🎨📚 U realizua me sukses projekti i muralit të bibliotekës! ✨🌿

Me përfundimin e ditës së dytë, aktiviteti ynë u përmbyll me sukses dhe projekti i muralit u realizua plotësisht! 🙌 Gjatë këtyre dy ditëve, biblioteka jonë u shndërrua në një hapësirë të gjallë kreativiteti, arti dhe bashkëpunimi, duke bashkuar studentë, nxënës, profesorë, staf dhe miq të bibliotekës. 💚

Nga krijimi i muralit 🎨, aktivitetet artistike 🖌️, librat 📚, lojërat 🎲 dhe panairi i librit 📖, çdo moment ishte dëshmi e energjisë pozitive, përkushtimit dhe frymës së përbashkët komunitare. 🤝

Ishte një nder i veçantë të mirëpresim edhe Rektorin, së bashku me një pjesë të stafit universitar 👏, duke e bërë përmbylljen e këtij projekti edhe më domethënëse.

🙏 Faleminderit nga zemra të gjithëve që kontribuuat, morët pjesë dhe e bëtë këtë iniciativë kaq të veçantë. Ky mural do të mbetet një simbol i kreativitetit, bashkëpunimit dhe energjisë së bukur që e ndamë së bashku! 🌟

Me përfundimin e ditës së dytë, aktiviteti ynë u përmbyll me sukses dhe projekti i muralit u realizua plotësisht! 🙌 Gjatë këtyre dy ditëve, biblioteka jonë u shndërrua në një hapësirë të gjallë kreativiteti, arti dhe bashkëpunimi, duke bashkuar studentë, nxënës, profesorë, staf dhe miq të bibliotekës. 💚

Nga krijimi i muralit 🎨, aktivitetet artistike 🖌️, librat 📚, lojërat 🎲 dhe panairi i librit 📖, çdo moment ishte dëshmi e energjisë pozitive, përkushtimit dhe frymës së përbashkët komunitare. 🤝

Ishte një nder i veçantë të mirëpresim edhe Rektorin, së bashku me një pjesë të stafit universitar 👏, duke e bërë përmbylljen e këtij projekti edhe më domethënëse.

Со завршувањето на вториот ден, нашиот настан успешно се заокружи и проектот за муралот беше целосно реализиран! 🙌 Во текот на овие два дена, нашата библиотека се претвори во жив простор на креативност, уметност и соработка, обединувајќи студенти, ученици, професори, вработени и пријатели на библиотеката. 💚

Од создавањето на муралот 🎨, уметничките активности 🖌️, книгите 📚, игрите 🎲 и саемот на книги 📖, секој момент беше доказ за позитивната енергија, посветеноста и заедничкиот дух. 🤝

Посебна чест ни беше да го пречекаме и Ректорот, заедно со дел од универзитетскиот персонал 👏, што го направи завршувањето на овој проект уште позначајно.

🙏 Голема благодарност до сите што придонесоа, учествуваа и станаа дел од оваа прекрасна иницијатива. Овој мурал ќе остане симбол на креативноста, соработката и убавата енергија што ја споделивме заедно! 🌟

The library mural project was successfully completed! 🎨📚✨

With the conclusion of the second day, our event came to a successful close and the library mural project was fully completed! 🙌 Over these two days, our library transformed into a vibrant space of creativity, art, and collaboration, bringing together students, pupils, professors, staff, and friends of the library. 💚

From creating the mural 🎨, artistic activities 🖌️, books 📚, games 🎲, and the book fair 📖, every moment reflected positive energy, dedication, and a strong community spirit. 🤝

It was a special honor to welcome the Rector, together with part of the university staff 👏, making the conclusion of this project even more meaningful.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, participated, and helped make this initiative so special. This mural will remain a symbol of creativity, collaboration, and the beautiful energy we shared together! 🌟

📚🎨 Dita e parë nga aktiviteti ynë ishte e mbushur me kreativitet, ngjyra, libra dhe energji të mrekullueshme! ✨🌿

Sot biblioteka jonë u gjallërua me art, buzëqeshje, biseda dhe frymë komunitare. Nga penelatat e para të muralit, aktivitetet e pikturimit dhe mozaikut, te librat falas, lojërat dhe panairi i librit — ishte kënaqësi të shihnim studentë, nxënës, profesorë, staf dhe miq të bibliotekës të bashkuar në këtë ngjarje të veçantë. 💚

Faleminderit të gjithëve që ish*t pjesë e ditës së sotme dhe sollët kaq shumë energji pozitive në Bibliotekën MvDS! 🙌

Today, our library came alive with art, smiles, conversations, and community spirit. From the first brushstrokes on the mural, painting and mosaic activities, to free books, games, and the book fair — it was wonderful to see students, pupils, professors, staff, and friends of the library coming together for this special event. 💚

Në ambientet e Universitetit të Evropës Juglindore, patëm kënaqësinë të mbështesim dhe të jemi pjesë e UNIART, një ngjarje që dëshmoi fuqishëm potencialin krijues dhe energjinë e jashtëzakonshme të të rinjve në Tetovë.

Përmes artit, muzikës, pikturës dhe prezantimeve të ndryshme, nxënësit sollën ide, emocione dhe mesazhe që reflektojnë një brez të vetëdijshëm, kreativ dhe të përkushtuar. Kjo ngjarje ishte një shembull i qartë se kur të rinjve u jepet hapësira dhe besimi i duhur, ata dinë ta shndërrojnë atë në vlerë të mirëfilltë për komunitetin.

Ky aktivitet u organizua me rastin e Ditës Ndërkombëtare të Librit dhe Ditës Ndërkombëtare të Artit, nga Unioni i Nxënësve të Shkollave të Mesme-Komuna Tetovë dhe u përkrah nga Komuna e Tetovës / Општина Тетово, duke theksuar rëndësinë e kulturës, leximit dhe shprehjes artistike në zhvillimin e të rinjve.

Во просториите на Универзитетот на Југоисточна Европа, имавме чест да го поддржиме и да бидеме дел од UNIART – настан кој силно го истакна креативниот потенцијал и извонредната енергија на младите од Тетово.

Преку уметност, музика, сликарство и различни презентации, учениците донесоа идеи, емоции и пораки кои рефлектираат една свесна, креативна и посветена генерација. Овој настан беше јасен пример дека кога на младите им се дава простор и доверба, тие знаат да го претворат тоа во вистинска вредност за заедницата.

Овој настан беше организиран по повод Меѓународниот ден на книгата и Меѓународниот ден на уметноста, од страна на Унијата на средношколци во Општина Тетово, со поддршка од Општина Тетово, нагласувајќи ја важноста на културата, читањето и уметничкото изразување во развојот на младите.

At the premises of the South East European University (SEEU), we had the pleasure to support and be part of UNIART, an event that strongly showcased the creative potential and remarkable energy of young people in Tetovo.

Through art, music, painting, and various presentations, students brought forward ideas, emotions, and messages that reflect a conscious, creative, and dedicated generation. This event was a clear example that when young people are given the right space and trust, they can transform it into meaningful value for the community.

This activity was organized on the occasion of the International Book Day and the International Art Day by the Union of High School Students in the Municipality of Tetovo, and supported by the Municipality of Tetovo, highlighting the importance of culture, reading, and artistic expression in the development of youth.

🌍 Simpoziumi Ndërkombëtar u realizua me sukses

Gjatë dy ditëve të fundit, organizuam me sukses Simpoziumin Ndërkombëtar në kuadër të projektit Erasmus+ KA210 “Empowering Information Professionals: Digital Transformation through Collaboration between Turkey, Norway, and North Macedonia”.
Ky simpozium mblodhi profesorë, studiues, bibliotekarë dhe profesionistë nga vende të ndryshme, duke krijuar një platformë të rëndësishme për shkëmbim njohurish dhe bashkëpunim. Përmes prezantimeve dhe diskutimeve të shumta, pjesëmarrësit trajtuan tema kyçe si inteligjenca artificiale në mjediset akademike, transformimi digjital në biblioteka, qasja e hapur, menaxhimi i të dhënave dhe praktikat inovative në shërbimet informative.
Dita e parë u fokusua në përvojat institucionale dhe praktikat ndërkombëtare digjitale, duke përfshirë edhe vizita në hapësirat universitare. Dita e dytë vazhdoi me sesione mbi strategjitë digjitale, studime rasti dhe transformimin e bibliotekave dhe trashëgimisë kulturore në epokën digjitale.
Jemi krenarë që organizuam një ngjarje kaq të rëndësishme që forcon bashkëpunimin ndërkombëtar dhe kontribuon në zhvillimin e kompetencave digjitale të profesionistëve të informacionit.
Falënderojmë sinqerisht të gjithë folësit, pjesëmarrësit dhe partnerët për kontributin e tyre në suksesin e këtij simpoziumi. Presim me padurim bashkëpunime të reja në të ardhmen!

Во изминатите два дена успешно го организиравме Меѓународниот симпозиум во рамки на Erasmus+ KA210 проектот „Empowering Information Professionals: Digital Transformation through Collaboration between Turkey, Norway, and North Macedonia”.
Симпозиумот обедини професори, истражувачи, библиотекари и професионалци од различни земји, создавајќи значајна платформа за размена на знаење и соработка. Преку бројни презентации и дискусии, учесниците обработија клучни теми како што се вештачката интелигенција во академската средина, дигиталната трансформација во библиотеките, отворениот пристап, управувањето со податоци и иновативните практики во информатичките услуги.
Првиот ден беше посветен на институционални искуства и меѓународни дигитални практики, како и на посети во рамки на универзитетскиот кампус. Вториот ден продолжи со сесии за дигитални стратегии, студии на случај и трансформацијата на библиотеките и културното наследство во дигиталната ера.
Горди сме што бевме домаќини на ваков значаен настан кој го зајакнува меѓународното партнерство и придонесува кон развојот на дигиталните компетенции на информатичките професионалци.

🌍 International Symposium Successfully Concluded

Over the past two days, we successfully organized and held the International Symposium the Erasmus+ KA210 project “Empowering Information Professionals: Digital Transformation through Collaboration between Turkey, Norway, and North Macedonia.”
The symposium brought together distinguished professors, researchers, librarians, and professionals from various countries, creating a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Through engaging presentations and discussions, participants explored key topics such as artificial intelligence in academic environments, digital transformation in libraries, open access, data management, and innovative practices in information services.
Day 1 focused on institutional experiences, international digital practices, and included visits across the university campus, offering participants a closer look at our facilities and services. Day 2 continued with insightful sessions on digital strategies, case studies, and the transformation of libraries and cultural heritage in the digital age.
We are proud to have hosted such an important event that strengthens international cooperation and supports the development of digital competencies among information professionals.
A sincere thank you to all speakers, participants, and partners who contributed to the success of this symposium. We look forward to continued collaboration and future initiatives together!

On April 20, we had the distinct honor of welcoming the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Serbia, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, H.E. Kristin Melsom, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Kingdom of Norway, H.E. Driton Kuçi. They joined the Rector of South East European University, Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibrahimi, at our symposium and attended some presentations. They joined the participants in conversations
and gained closer insight into our collaboration with librarians from Norway and Türkiye, as well
as with colleagues from the region and the USA.

The involvement of representatives from Norway at the Erasmus+ KA210 symposium reflects the strength of international partnerships and the importance of shared expertise in advancing digital librarianship.

This meeting stands as a strong testament to international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge in the field of digital librarianship and open science.
