🐢 မေလ (၂၃) ရက်နေ့မှာ ကျရောက်တဲ့ "ကမ္ဘာ့လိပ်များနေ့ (World Turtle Day)" ကို ကြိုဆိုပါရစေ 🐢
လိပ်တွေဟာ ကမ္ဘာမြေပေါ်မှာ ရှေးအကျဆုံးနဲ့ အထူးခြားဆုံး သတ္တဝါတွေထဲက အပါအဝင် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ သူတို့ရဲ့ သမိုင်းကြောင်းကို ပြန်ကြည့်ရင် ရှေးလွန်ခဲ့တဲ့ နှစ်သန်းပေါင်း (၂၀၀) ကျော်၊ ဒိုင်နိုဆောတွေ မပေါ်ခင် Paleozoic Era ခေတ်အတွင်းကတည်းက ကမ္ဘာမြေပေါ်ကို အောင်မြင်စွာ ခြေချနိုင်ခဲ့တဲ့ ရှေးကျတဲ့ တွားသွားသတ္တဝါတွေ (Primitive Reptiles) ကနေ ဆင့်ကဲပြောင်းလဲလာခဲ့တာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ လွန်ခဲ့တဲ့ နှစ်သန်းပေါင်း (၂၆၀) ခန့်ကတည်းက ဒီနေ့ထက်တိုင် နှစ်ပေါင်းရှည်ကြာစွာ ရှင်သန်ပေါက်ပွားလာခဲ့ကြတာပါ။
💡 ကုန်းလိပ် (Tortoise) နဲ့ ရေလိပ် (Turtle) ကို ဘယ်လိုခွဲခြားမလဲ။
လိပ်တွေကို သူတို့ရဲ့ နေထိုင်ကျက်စားရာနေရာ၊ အလေ့အထနဲ့ ထူးခြားတဲ့ သွင်ပြင်လက္ခဏာတွေအပေါ် မူတည်ပြီး အလွယ်တကူ ခွဲခြားနိုင်ပါတယ်။
ကုန်းလိပ် (Tortoise) ကုန်းမြေပေါ်မှာပဲ ကျက်စားနေထိုင်ကြပြီး၊ အများစုဟာ အသီးအရွက်စားတဲ့ လိပ်တွေ (Mostly Vegetarian) ဖြစ်ကြပါတယ်။
ရေလိပ် (Turtle) ရေထဲမှာ ကျက်စားနေထိုင်ကြပြီး အစုံစား (Generally Omnivores) လိပ်တွေ ဖြစ်ကြပါတယ်။ ရေလိပ်တွေရဲ့ ခြေချောင်းလေးတွေကို အရေပြားတွေနဲ့ ဆက်သွယ်ထားပြီး ဘဲခြေထောက်လို ရေယက်တွေ ပါရှိတာကြောင့် ကုန်းလိပ်တွေနဲ့ သိသိသာသာ ကွဲပြားပါတယ်။
ရေချိုလိပ် (Fresh Water Turtle) မြစ်၊ ချောင်းတွေမှာ နေထိုင်ကြပါတယ်။ (ခွံမာရေလိပ်တွေကို Terrapin လို့လည်း ခေါ်ပါတယ်။)
ပင်လယ်လိပ် (Sea Turtle) ပင်လယ်ရေငံထဲမှာ ကျက်စားနေထိုင်ကြပါတယ်။
ထူးခြားချက်အနေနဲ့- လိပ်တွေရဲ့ ပါးစပ်မှာ သွားတွေ မပါရှိပါဘူး။ ဒါပေမဲ့ အရိုးလို မာကြောတဲ့ နှုတ်ခမ်းတွေနဲ့ အစာကို ကိုက်ဖြတ် စားသောက်ကြတာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
⚠️ ဖိုးသက်ရှည်လိပ်တို့ ရင်ဆိုင်နေရတဲ့ ခြိမ်းခြောက်မှုများ
လိပ်တွေဟာ ကျွန်တော်တို့ရဲ့ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ဂေဟစနစ် ဟန်ချက်ညီဖို့အတွက် အလွန်အရေးပါတဲ့ အခန်းကဏ္ဍကနေ ပါဝင်နေပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ ယနေ့ခေတ်မှာတော့ လူသားတွေရဲ့ ပယောဂကြောင့် လိပ်မျိုးစိတ်များစွာဟာ-
❌ နေရင်းဒေသများ ပျက်စီးခြင်း
❌ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်နဲ့ လေထုနှင့် ရေထုညစ်ညမ်းခြင်း
❌ အလွန်အကျွံ အမဲလိုက်/စုဆောင်းခံရခြင်း
❌ တရားမဝင် အိမ်မွေးတိရစ္ဆာန်အဖြစ် ရောင်းဝယ်ဖောက်ကားခြင်း
❌ ကမ္ဘာ့ရာရာသီဥတု ဖောက်ပြန်ပြောင်းလဲခြင်း... စတဲ့ အသက်အန္တရာယ် ခြိမ်းခြောက်မှုတွေကို ရင်ဆိုင်နေကြရပါတယ်။
ကမ္ဘာဦးအစကတည်းက ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနဲ့ အစားအစာကွင်းဆက်ညှိနှိုင်းမှုမှာ အရေးကြီးတဲ့ သဘာဝမိတ်ဆွေလိပ်တွေဟာ လူသားတွေနဲ့အတူ ယှဉ်တွဲနေထိုင်လာပြီး သဘာဝတရားရဲ့ အကျိုးကို သယ်ပိုးပေးနေတဲ့ "ဖိုးသက်ရှည်လိပ်များ" ကမ္ဘာတည်သရွေ့ ဆက်လက်ရှင်သန် တည်တံ့နိုင်ဖို့အတွက် ကျွန်တော်တို့အားလုံး ဝိုင်းဝန်းထိန်းသိမ်းကြဖို့ လိုအပ်နေပါပြီ။
မိမိတို့ တိရစ္ဆာန်ဥယျာဉ်များတွင်လည်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံဒေသရင်း လိပ်မျိုးစိတ်များအပြင် ဒေသတွင်းရှိ လိပ်မျိုးစိတ်များကိုပါ စနစ်တကျ မွေးမြူထိန်းသိမ်း စောင့်ရှောက်ပြသထားရှိပါကြောင်း "ကမ္ဘာ့လိပ်များနေ့" ကို ဂုဏ်ပြုရင်း ဗဟုသုတအဖြစ် မျှဝေလိုက်ရပါတယ်။
📌 အထူးမေတ္တာရပ်ခံချက် (မှတ်ချက်)
မြန်မာလူမျိုးတွေဟာ အခါကြီးရက်ကြီးနေ့တွေမှာ "ဇီဝိတဒါန" အလှူအနေနဲ့ လိပ်တွေကို ဘေးမဲ့လွှတ်လေ့ရှိကြပါတယ်။ အဲဒီလို လွှတ်တဲ့အခါမှာ "ကုန်းလိပ်ကို ကုန်းမှာလွှတ်ပြီး၊ ရေလိပ်ကို ရေမှာလွှတ်ပေးကြပါ" လို့ အထူးပဲ မေတ္တာရပ်ခံအပ်ပါတယ်။ (ရေထဲကို ကုန်းလိပ်ကြီးတွေ မှားလွှတ်မိရင် ရေမကူးတတ်တဲ့အတွက် အသက်အန္တရာယ် ရှိနိုင်လို့ပါရှင့်။)

Turtles are among the oldest and most unique creatures on Earth. Looking back at their history, they evolved from primitive reptiles that successfully set foot on Earth over 200 million years ago during the Paleozoic Era, even before the appearance of dinosaurs. They have survived and reproduced for ages, tracing their origins back to around 260 million years ago to the present day.
💡 How to differentiate between a Tortoise and a Turtle?
Turtles and tortoises can be easily distinguished based on their habitats, habits, and distinct physical characteristics.
Tortoise: They live exclusively on land and are mostly vegetarians (herbivores).
Turtle: They live in water and are generally omnivores (eating both plants and meat). Their toes are connected by skin, forming webbed feet like a duck's, which makes them noticeably different from tortoises.
• Freshwater Turtle: They live in rivers and streams. (Hard-shelled freshwater turtles are also known as Terrapins.)
• Sea Turtle: They live in the saltwater of oceans and seas.
Fun Fact: Turtles and tortoises do not have teeth in their mouths! Instead, they cut and chew their food using sharp, bone-like ridges along their jaws.
⚠️ Threats Faced by the Long-Lived Giant
Turtles and tortoises play a vital role in maintaining the balance of our natural ecosystem. However, due to human activities today, many species are facing life-threatening challenges, including:
❌ Habitat destruction
❌ Air and water pollution
❌ Overhunting and overharvesting
❌ Illegal wildlife trade as exotic pets
❌ Global climate change
🌳 Since ancient times, turtles have lived together with humans as natural friends that are important for protecting the environment and keeping the food chain balanced. These long-living turtles help nature, so we all need to work together to protect them and help them continue to live and survive forever
📌 Special Request (Note)
In Myanmar culture, people traditionally release turtles as a "Zivita Dana" (the gift of life) charity on auspicious days.
When doing so, we earnestly request you to "Release tortoises on land, and turtles into the water." (If a tortoise is mistakenly thrown into deep water, it can drown as it cannot swim!)
