🇨🇭 ကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ဆောင်မှုများ ပိုမိုလက်လှမ်းမီနိုင်ရေး ဆွစ်ဇာလန်နိုင်ငံ၏ ပံ့ပိုးမှု

ဆွစ်ဇာလန်နိုင်ငံသည် UNFPA မြန်မာ၏ Women and Girls First (WGF) အစီအစဉ် ကို အလှူရှင်နိုင်ငံအဖြစ် ပံ့ပိုးပေးလျက်ရှိပြီး လက်လှမ်းမီရန်ခက်ခဲသော ဒေသများတွင် လူထုအတွက် အခြေခံကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ဆောင်မှုများ ပိုမိုရရှိနိုင်ရေးကို ပံ့ပိုးကူညီပေးပါသည်။

🇨🇭 Swiss Support for Inclusive Healthcare

Through its contribution to UNFPA Myanmar’s Women and Girls First (WGF) programme, Switzerland supports efforts to improve access to essential healthcare services for communities in hard-to-reach areas.

UNFPA Myanmar is supporting mobile clinic services and awareness-raising activities for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) self-help groups, providing access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), safe motherhood, and general healthcare services.

These activities contribute to greater health awareness, more inclusive access to healthcare, and improved health-seeking behaviours among community members, including persons with disabilities.

🤝 Switzerland is pleased to support UNFPA Myanmar and its partners in advancing inclusive and equitable access to healthcare for all.

🇨🇭🎓 Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2027–2028 | Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking about applying for a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship? The official FAQ provides useful guidance for prospective applicants and academic supervisors.

📌 For applicants:

• You are responsible for finding your own academic supervisor.
• Identify a professor whose research area matches your proposed project and allow sufficient time for the process.
• When contacting a professor, prepare a clear and personalised inquiry and include your CV, motivation letter, 2–3 recommendation letters and a 2–3 page research plan.
• Applicants may submit a maximum of three applications for the same type of scholarship.

🔎 For academic supervisors:

Professors considering supporting an applicant should be familiar with the proposed research project and its fit with their department. A formal letter of support is required, outlining the research project, relationship with the candidate and potential future collaboration.

📅 Applications deadline for the 2027–2028 scholarships is 24 November 2026.

💧 Switzerland is home to more than 1,500 lakes.
🌊 Lake Geneva, shared by Switzerland and France, is the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe.
🇨🇭 At 218 km², Lake Neuchâtel is the largest lake located entirely within Switzerland.
📍 Wherever you are in Switzerland, you’re never more than 16 km from a lake.

အနီရောင်နောက်ခံပေါ်က အဖြူရောင်ကြက်ခြေခတ်ပုံဟာ ၁၃၃၉ ခုနှစ်၊ Laupen တိုက်ပွဲမှာ ဆွစ်ကွန်ဖက်ဒရေးရှင်းတပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင်တွေ တိုက်ပွဲအတွင်း အချင်းချင်း ခွဲခြားသိရှိနိုင်ဖို့ စတင်အသုံးပြုခဲ့တာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ ရာစုနှစ်များစွာကြာတဲ့အထိ စစ်ဘက်နဲ့ ပြည်နယ်အဆင့် သင်္ကေတအဖြစ်သာ အသုံးပြုခဲ့ပြီး ၁၈၄၈ ခုနှစ်မှာမှ နိုင်ငံတော်အလံအဖြစ် တရားဝင်သတ်မှတ်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။

🇨🇭 Switzerland's flag has quite a story behind it. The white cross on red first appeared in 1339, at the Battle of Laupen, as a way for Swiss confederates to recognize each other in battle. But it stayed a military and cantonal symbol for centuries. It only became the country's official flag in 1848, after Napoleon briefly forced a tricolour on the country during the Helvetic Republic.

There's also a surprising connection to the Red Cross: General Guillaume-Henri Dufour helped adopt Switzerland's military flag in 1840, then co-founded the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva in 1863 which explains why the two emblems look so alike.

On top of that, Switzerland's flag is one of only two square national flags in the world (the other is the Vatican's), and a University of St Gallen study found the Swiss cross adds genuine value to "Swiss Made" products.

Joint Donor Monitoring Visits to RBF+ Supported Businesses

On 14 August 2026, representatives from the European Union Delegation Office, Switzerland, and Denmark Embassies, together with the RBF+ project team, conducted joint monitoring visits to selected businesses supported under the Responsible Business Fund Plus (RBF+) Project.

The delegation visited three businesses in Hlegu, Inn Ta Kaw, and Phyu townships, including enterprises investing in laser-cutting technology for agricultural equipment, button-dripper irrigation systems for coffee production, and value-added processing for bean trading.

The visits provided an opportunity to engage directly with supported businesses, observe the progress of RBF+ investments, and gain first-hand insights into the project's impact. The visits highlighted how RBF+ support is helping businesses enhance productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and drive sustainable growth.

Europe's largest public swimming pool is located in Bern 🇨🇭

The Weyermannshaus pool contains approximately 25,000 m³ of water, equivalent to around 10 Olympic swimming pools.

What makes it even more remarkable is that access is free, just like all public swimming pools operated by the City of Bern.

An example of how public infrastructure can contribute to quality of life and accessibility.
