Ensuring accessibility for tourists with specific access requirements can be a ‘game changer’ for destinations around the world as they look to bounce back from the impacts of the pandemic.

Globally, it is estimated that there are over 1 billion persons with disabilities, as well as more than 2 billion people, such as spouses, children and caregivers of persons with disabilities, representing almost a third of the world’s population, are directly affected by disability. Accessibility is a central element of any responsible and sustainable development policy. It is both a human rights imperative, as well as an exceptional business opportunity. “Tourism for All” is also referred to in the GSTC Criteria (GSTC-I criterion A7.4; GSTC-D criterion B8).

Join our GSTC Members webinar about "Inclusive Travel: the Importance of Accessibility and How to Implement It" with Martin Heng, Inclusive Travel Specialist, on June 30th, 2020 | 11:00-12:00 CEST (Rome) | 16:00-17:00 ICT (Bangkok) | 19:00-20:00 AEST (Sydney)
