Terjit Vacances hotel & grill is located at the intersection of the great Mauritanian desert and the Atlantic Ocean. For more than 30 years, Terjit Vacances hotel & grill served guests from all over the world. Prior to paving the Nouadhibou-Nouakchott road, Terjit Vacances was the point where “coastline riders” crossed the sand dunes to reach Nouakchott. Indeed, travelers & adventurists used to dr

ive the coastline on low ocean tide taking advantage of the hard highway-like coastline to traverse the long unpaved road between Nouadhibou and Nouakchott. On high tide, travelers stopped due to the mighty waves hugging the sand dunes and eating up the road. Coastline riders brought Terjit Vacances not only good business, but stories, music and food from all over Europe. Today, and with the Nouadhibou-Nouakchott road paved and entering Nouakchott about 2 km away from Terjit Vacances hotel & grill site, the coastline riders are gone. However, Terjit Vacances is till here. Terjit Vacances hotel & grill remains the first destination in Nouakchott for camping, food, and music.
