Congratulations to WINAIR on 65 incredible years!

Through Montserrat’s volcanic crisis, in its aftermath, and right through to today, WINAIR has continued to connect our island with St. Maarten and the wider region.

Thank you for being there when it mattered, and for continuing to be part of our journey.

You’re truly an integral part of the Montserrat story. 💚

When the Soufrière Hills volcano on the island of Montserrat began erupting in July 1995, Winair assisted in the evacuation of thousands of residents to the island of Antigua.

Winair was among the last flights out of Montserrat before all flights were suspended from W.H. Bramble Airport, as ash and safety concerns mounted.

Ten years later, Winair’s DHC-6 aircraft was the very first to land at the newly built Gerald's Airport (now known as John A. Osborne Airport) when operations began in July 2005.
