FM DX Zitouna FM Nabeul 102.9 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. It was caught on 12/04/2025 at around 10:40 AM (UTC+2). The place of catch is around Had Dingli. Tropo was moderate around the Mediterranean. The TEF6686 is doing great as it reached RDS levels by displaying ‘ZITOUNA’ with its PI Code ‘7211’. It is broadcasting from Tunisia’s Le Kef FM Transmiter that houses around 1 kW in transmission power that is approximately 340 kilometres away towards Nabeul. 73 😊

AM DX SW 17810 KHz BBC World News Service in Dari From Malta. It was caught on 20/09/2025 at around 11:35 AM (UTC+2). The XHDATA D-808 has been placed inside which the reception is very challenging and not that much audible. As per Short Wave Info, it is still transmitting every day from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM (UTC+2) a year later. It is broadcasting from Oman’s Al Seela Transmitter that houses around 250 kW in transmission power that is approximately 4,585 kilometres away towards Al Ashkharah. 73 😊

FM DX Radio Dimensione Suono Catanzaro 89.3 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. It was caught on 17/10/2023 at around 02:30 AM (UTC+2). Heavy duct tropo around southern Calanria that extended towards the Catanzaro region which is rarely caught due to terrain. The TEF6686 did quite well with its telescopic antenna despite not reaching RDS levels. ID is heard despite the TEF6686 being with low volume due to neighbours and also the timing of the recording. It is broadcasting from Calabria’s Falerna FM Transmitter that houses just 790 Watts (0.79 kW) which is approximately 385 kilometres away towards Catanzaro. 73 😊

Brief SpE openings towards Italy, France, Netherlands and Russia.The TEF6686 was connected with the 7 Element Yagi Antenna. It reached RDS levels by displaying ‘RADIO 1 – NPO R1’ with its PI Code ‘8201’. ID is heard by 1:43. It is broadcasting from Netherlands’s Ijsselstein FM Transmitter that houses around 72 kW in transmission power that is approximately 1,945 kilometres away towards Utrecht. 73 😊

AM DX MW 576 KHz RNE Radio 5 Barcelona From Oxford. It was caught on 30/12/2021 at around 01:20 AM (UTC+0). This was during the stay in Oxford due to family’s medical treatment reasons. The XHDATA D-808 being placed inside the Conifers Guest House, proved to still be a good audible reception despite the hissing array sound being held, however at times it might not be understood clearly. It is broadcasting from Spain’s Palau de Plegamans Transmitter that houses around 100 kW in transmission power that is approximately 1,160 kilometres away towards Barcelona. 73 😊

The place of catch is around Schloss Schonbrunn Park Garden. RDS levels were reached by displaying ‘RADIO-N’ with its PI Code ‘A602’. Depicted the information from the following paper sheet. Advertisements were being heard by 1:23. It is broadcasting from Austria’s Sankt Polten FM Transmitter that houses around 100 kW in transmission power that is approximately 80 kilometres away towards Niederosterreich. 73 😊

FM DX Radio Dimensione Suono (RDS) Agrigento 102.0 MHz From Malta. It was caught on 28/09/2024 at around 12:50 PM (UTC+2). The place of catch is around Mellieha. Medium level tropo which this one successfully managed to overcome Radio Radicale which sometimes may be considered as a semi local. The TEF6686 did quite well as it reached RDS levels by displaying ‘* RDS *’ with its PI Code ‘5264’. This time, it was caught in Malta, two years after it was caught in Gozo, which this became a possibility. It is broadcasting from Sicily’s Agrigento FM Transmitter of around 1 kW in power which is approximately 165 kilometres away towards Agrigento. 73 😊

FM DX Radio Al Mhjob Misrata 98.7 MHz From Malta [Tropo]. It was caught on 31/07/2022 at around 01:20 AM (UTC+2). The place of catch is around Wied Iz-Zurrieq which medium level tropo was observed towards parts of Libya and southern Tunisia. Temperature reached almost 28 Degrees Celsius during that time. The station did not carry any RDS data during that time. It did not shadow semi local Rai Radio 2 due to the zone already shadowing Sicilian signals. It used to be broadcasting from Libya’s Misratah FM Transmitter that housed around 2 kW in transmission power that was approximately 385 kilometres away towards Misrata. 73 😊

The XHDATA D-808 was placed indoors and the reception was doing quite well with its own telescopic antenna. As per Short Wave Info, it transmits daily from 16:50 PM to 17:10 PM (UTC+2). It is broadcasting from Italy’s Santa Maria Di Galeria Transmitter that houses around 250 kW in transmission power that is approximately 705 kilometres away towards Rome. 73 😊
