🇲🇹 Dalgħodu l-pulizija wettqet roadcheck ta’ rutina fi Triq l-Imdina, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, fejn waqt dawn il-kontrolli l-pulizija sabu vetturi jinstaqu b’veloċità eċċessiva, filwaqt li nħarġu numru ta’ kontravenzjonijiet oħra relatati ma’ illegalitajiet differenti.

Waqt li kienu fuq il-post, il-Pulizija innutaw żewġt iġriewi jiġru f’nofs it-triq f’sitwazzjoni ta’ periklu. Bl-għajnuna ta’ sewwieq li nzerta għaddej, il-ġriewi ġew imneħħija mit-triq b’mod sigur.

Issejħu l-uffiċjali mid-Direttorat għall-Ħarsien tal-Annimali, li kkonfermaw li l-ġriewi ma kinux iċċipjati u għaldaqstant dawn ittieħdu taħt il-kura tagħhom.

🇬🇧 This morning, the Police carried out a routine roadcheck in Triq l-Imdina, Żebbuġ. During these inspections, officers found vehicles being driven at excessive speed and a contraventions were issued for various other traffic offences.

While on site, the Police noticed two puppies running in the middle of the road in a dangerous situation. With the assistance of a passing driver, the puppies were safely removed from the road.

Officers from the Animal Welfare Directorate were called to site and confirmed that the puppies were not microchipped. The puppies were therefore taken into their care.

🇲🇹 Fl-aħħar jiem, il-Pulizija assistiti mill-Aġenzija għas-Servizzi ta’ Detenzjoni, Transport Malta, Jobs Plus u Identità, mexxew spezzjonijiet koordinati fuq diversi karozzi tal-linja f’Malta u Għawdex, kif ukoll fuq vetturi privati u tax-xogħol, fejn instabu 76 persuna jgħixu fil-pajjiż b’mod irregolari.

Huma ttieħdu f’ċentru ta' detenzjoni sakemm jitlesta l-proċess ta’ ritorn tagħhom.

🇬🇧 In recent days, the Police assisted by the Detention Services Agency, Transport Malta, Jobs Plus and Identitá, conducted coordinated inspections on several buses in Malta and Gozo, as well as on private and work vehicles, where 76 people were found living in the country irregularly.

They were taken to a detention centre until the completion of their return process.
