🇲🇹 B’referenza għall-inċident ġewwa l-kamra tan-nar li ġie rrappurtat iżjed kmieni, il-Pulizija kkonfermaw mal-persuna responsabbli minn din il-kamra tan-nar li l-ħaddiema liċenzjati kollha marbuta mal-post ġew ikkuntattjati u kkonfermaw li ħadd minnhom ma kien fil-post fil-ħin tal-inċident.

Żewġt irġiel li kienu f’għelieqi fil-qrib meta seħħet l-isplużjoni, ittieħdu l-Isptar Mater Dei b’ambulanza, fost oħrajn bħala prekawzjoni minħabba x-xokk. Aktar t**d, it-tnejn ġew iċċertifikati li qed isofru minn ġrieħi ħfief.

Il-Pulizija, bl-assistenza tal-Protezzjoni Ċivili, il-Forzi Armati ta’ Malta u l-istaff mediku, għadhom fuq il-post sabiex jassiguraw is-sigurtà tal-inħawi.

Il-Maġistrat Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D. qed imexxi inkjesta, filwaqt li l-appell lill-pubbliku biex jevita z-zona għadu fis-seħħ.

🇬🇧 With reference to the fireworks factory incident reported earlier, the Police have confirmed with the fireworks factory licensee that all licensed workers connected to the premises were accounted form and none of them were on site at the time of the incident.

Two men, who were in nearby fields when the explosion occurred, were taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, including as a precaution due to shock. Both were later certified as suffering from slight injuries.

The Police, assisted by the Civil Protection Department, the Armed Forces of Malta and medical personnel, remain on site to ensure the safety of the area.

Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D. is leading an inquiry, while the public is once again urged to avoid the area.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned over possession of 13 sachets of co***ne, ecstasy pills and cannabis during a road-check in Birzebbuga.

➡️2 men arrested & arraigned over trafficking of 70 sachets of synthetic drugs, 16 sachets of he**in and 24 sachets co***ne in Ghaxaq.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned after he was found in possession of sachets containing co***ne and he**in, along with cash in St Paul’s Bay.

➡️3 women arrested following a drug bust in Qrendi residence which yielded co***ne, with a market value of approximately €13,000.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned over possession of co***ne and herion intended for trafficking in Melieha.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned over dangerous driving while intoxicated and attempted to flee the police during a chase in Marsa.

➡️2 men and 2 women arrested & arraigned over a series of violent robberies.

➡️2 women arrested & arraigned over a series of theft from vehicles.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned over a series of theft from vehicles in Tarxien.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned for breaching five separate sets of bail conditions in Paceville.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned over an arson on a vehicle in Tarxien.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned over corporate fraud of around €48,000 and money laundering.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned for ra**ng a woman.

➡️Man arrested & arraigned for ra**ng his partner.

➡️3 men arrested & arraigned over separate charges related to domestic violence.

➡️Man was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment after to charges related to smuggling of immigrants.

➡️Man was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment in relation to shooting case in Marsaskala.

➡️Man was sentenced to 13 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to assaulting a police officer in Paceville and illegal possession of laughing gas.

➡️Man was sentenced to 7 months imprisonment over breach of bail conditions.

➡️ 46 victims assisted.

🇲🇹 Fl-aħħar jiem, il-Pulizija mexxiet b’suċċess operazzjoni ta’ ritorn sfurzat ta’ tlett irġiel lejn il-pajjiż tal-oriġini tagħhom.

Wieħed minnhom kien ġie deportat qabel u pprojbit milli jidħol fiż-Żona Schengen wara li kien instab ħati ta’ reati marbuta ma’ vjolenza domestika u użu ħażin tal-mobile. Huwa pprova jerġa' jidħol f'Malta f'April iżda twaqqaf mill-Uffiċjali tal-Fruntiera u l-Pulizija fl-ajruport u aktar t**d ġie deportat mill-ġdid.

Iż-żewġt irġiel l-oħra kienu daħlu f'Malta b'mod irregolari bil-baħar u ġew deportati wara li t-talbiet u l-appelli tagħhom għall-protezzjoni ġew miċħuda.

🇬🇧 In recent days, the have successfully conducted a forced return operation of three men to their country of origin.

One of them had previously been deported and banned from entering the Schengen Area after convictions related to domestic violence and misuse of a mobile phone. He attempted to re-enter Malta in April but was stopped by Border Control Officers and the Police at the airport and later deported again.

The two other men had entered Malta irregularly by sea and were deported after their protection requests and appeals were rejected.

🇲🇹Azzjoni immedjata tal-pulizija wasslet għall-arrest ta’ ġuvni ta’ 15-il sena, li allegatament huwa l-moħħ wara theddida ta’ bomba ġo skola sekondarja fil-Mosta dalgħodu.

Immedjatament bdiet evakwazzjoni tal-istudent, kif ukoll issejħu l-membri tal-Forzi Armati li għamlu tfittxija, li rriżultat fin-negattiv.

Fi ftit sigħat, il-pulizija wasslu għall-arrest tal-ġuvni, filwaqt li l-investigazzjonijiet tal-pulizija għadhom għaddejjin.

🇬🇧Immediate Police action led to the arrest of a 15-year-old youth who is allegedly behind a bomb threat at a secondary school in Mosta earlier this morning.

An evacuation of the students was immediately carried out, while members of the Armed Forces were called in to conduct a search, which resulted negative.

Within a few hours, Police arrested the youth, while investigations are still ongoing.
