In collaboration with the Pastoral Formation Institute, a safeguarding training session was delivered last Saturday to Tabgħa Foundation (Youth Fellowship).

With over 100 members in attendance, the session provided an opportunity for discussion and reflection on shared responsibilities and common goals. It was encouraging to see a strong collective commitment towards the importance of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

The Safeguarding Commission, in collaboration with the Pastoral Formation Institute, this morning delivered a Safeguarding training session to Parish Priests within the Archdiocese of Malta. The session focused on the importance of collaboration in strengthening safeguarding practices within parish communities, fostering a culture of prevention, transparency, responsibility, and care.

Through such initiatives, we remain committed to sharing insights and fostering continued dialogue towards creating safer environments for all.

Speaking at the National Meeting of Safeguarding Delegates of the Italian Bishops' Conference, the Tutela Minorum’s Secretary, Mons. Luis Manuel Alí Herrera, called for a deeper understanding of the term vulnerability, as a shared human condition shaped by relationships and contexts.

“Vulnerability is not a defect… it is a constitutive dimension of the human person.”

Speaking today at the II National Meeting of Safeguarding Delegates of the Italian Bishops' Conference, the Commission’s Secretary, Mons. Alí Herrera, called for a shift from fixed definitions to a deeper understanding of vulnerability as a shared human condition shaped by relationships and contexts.
