TEMPORARY DIVERSION FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT DUE TO RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY

ROUTE 47 MOSTA DIVERSION

Date: Saturday 30th May 2026. Time: 17:00hrs – 19:00hrs.

Date: Sunday 31st May 2026. Time: 08:00hrs - 10:00hrs.

Road Closure: Kungress Ewkaristiku.

Diversion (click): Route buses going towards SANTA MARGERITA needs to divert through TRIQ FRANGISKU PISANI after taking the third exit at MOSTA TECHNOPARK ROUNDABOUT. Follow the road and continue the normal route.

Check if there are any other active diversions in the area.



Bus Stops affected are: 2537 Technopark 3, 1095 Daqqaqa, 1143 Gatt, 1142 Kungress, 2562 Rotunda 1, 2170 Awrora, 2166 Schembri.





ROUTE 186 MOSTA DIVERSION

Date: Saturday 30th May 2026. Time: 17:00hrs – 19:00hrs.

Date: Sunday 31st May 2026. Time: 08:00hrs - 10:00hrs.

Road Closure: Kungress Ewkaristiku.

Diversion to Bugibba (click): Route buses going towards MOSTA will have to divert from TRIQ SAN PAWL TAL-QLIEGHA onto TRIQ IZ-ZEJFA to continue direction BURMARAD without serving MOSTA SQUARE.

The roads marked in black are the roads not being served.



Bus Stops Affected are:

1101 Gholja 2, 1099 Mithna, 1097 Milt, 1143 Gatt, 1142 Kungress, 2562/2563 Rotunda, 1105 Isouard, 1106 Kostituzzjoni, 1107 Targa.





ROUTE 202 & 260 MOSTA DIVERSION

Date: Saturday 30th May 2026. Time: 17:00hrs – 19:00hrs.

Date: Sunday 31st May 2026. Time: 08:00hrs - 10:00hrs.

Road Closure: Kungress Ewkaristiku.

Diversion to Sliema/ Gharghur (click): Route buses going towards MOSTA will have to divert back from TRIQ FRANGISK PISANI onto TRIQ IL-HTAJRIET to continue direction MOSTA, moreover buses will have to turn right to TRIQ IL KBIRA to continue towards NAXXAR without serving MOSTA SQUARE.

Diversion to Rabat/ Valletta (click): Follow the same diversion. Using as starting point Triq IL-Bazilika

Check if there are any other active diversions in the area.

Bus Stops Affected are: 1143 Gatt, 1142 Kungress, 2562 Rotunda 1, 1102 Bezzina, 1100 Gholja 1, 1101 Gholja 2, 1099 Mithna, 1097 Milt, 1144 Daqqaq, 2533 Technopark 1.







ROUTE 405 MOSTA DIVERSION

Date: Saturday 30th May 2026. Time: 17:00hrs – 19:00hrs.

Date: Sunday 31st May 2026. Time: 08:00hrs - 10:00hrs.

Road Closure: Kungress Ewkaristiku.

Diversion (click): Route buses will need to divert from VJAL L-INDIPENDENZA, turning right directly towards ID-DAWR, without serving MOSTA CENTRE and TRIQ KBIRA.

Check if there are any other active diversions in the area.



Bus Stops affected are: 2562 Rotunda 1, 1102 Bezzina.





ROUTES 31, 41, 42, 48, 203, 280 & N48 MOSTA DIVERSION

Date: Saturday 30th May 2026. Time: 17:00hrs – 19:00hrs.

Date: Sunday 31st May 2026. Time: 08:00hrs - 10:00hrs.

Road Closure: Kungress Ewkaristiku.

Diversion to Bugibba/ Cirkewwa (click): Route buses going towards MOSTA will have to divert back from TRIQ FRANGISK PISANI. Moreover, buses will need to pass from VJAL IL-QALBIENA MOSTIN straight from TRIQ DIFIZA towards TARGA without serving MOSTA SQUARE

Check if there are any other active diversions in the area.



Bus Stops being affected are:

1143 Gatt, 1142 Kungress, 2562 Rotunda 1, 2563 Rotunda 2, 2564 Rotunda 3, 1105 Isouard, 1106 Kostituzzjoni, 1107 Targa.

PRESS RELEASE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION



GENERAL ELECTION – 30TH MAY, 2026



Distribution of Voting Documents



As announced, the Electoral Commission shall, as from tomorrow till Thursday, 28th May, be distributing uncollected voting documents from the Electoral Office, Naxxar and from the Electoral Office, Victoria, Gozo, for voters registered in Gozo.



The Electoral Commission requests the co-operation of the public as follows:



voters who are unable to walk should be brought to the Electoral Office, Ex-Trade Fair Grounds, Naxxar by a private car. The Electoral Commission recommends that in such cases there should be another person accompanying the driver and the voter so that the accompanying persons could present the voter’s Identity Card to one of the Commissioners and indicate to him the place where the voter in the parked car is.


the same service applies to voters in Gozo who are unable to go out of a private car near the Electoral Office, Triq Ta’ Wara s-Sur, Victoria, Gozo.


In cases where elderly and sick persons are unable to be brought by a private car to collect their document, the Commission shall make an effort to deliver the document at their residence. For this purpose, the Electoral Commission requests that the voters themselves or a relative of these voters should call or contact the Electoral Office on 25583240 to furnish the necessary details.


The Electoral Commission requests the co-operation of the public to avail themselves of this service only in cases of justified necessity.



The Electoral Commission also reminds all those persons collecting their voting document that their voting document may only be collected on a personal basis and on the presentation of the voter’s identity.



Without the voting document, no one would be allowed to vote on polling day.

Kien unur kbir għalina li bħala Kunsill Lokali Mosta konna preżenti għal din l-okkażjoni tant memorabbli.

Għaxar snin wara li l-Mosta ospitat il-Parata tad-Distrett tat-Tramuntana biex niċċelebraw il-mitt sena tagħna, erġajna nġbarna flimkien b’tant kburija biex din id-darba nfakkru l-110 snin ta’ Scouting fil-Mosta.

Uhud mill- Kunsilliera, konnha prezenti f'dan il-jum speċjali, fejn fakkarna l-impatt imprezzabbli li l- Mosta Scout Group ħalla fuq il-komunità u ż-żgħażagħ tagħna matul is-snin.

​It was a true honor for us to represent the Local Council on this incredibly memorable occasion. Ten years after hosting the North District Parade for our Centenary celebrations, we gathered once again with immense pride to mark 110 years of Scouting in Mosta.

Several Councillors, attended the parade to show the Council's full support and to celebrate the invaluable impact the Mosta Scout Group has had on our community and youth over the decades. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this day so special!

As part of our 110 year anniversary celebrations, the Mosta Scout Group will be hosting the North District Church Parade on Sunday 24th May 2026 between 11am and 2pm.

Residents along the route are kindly encouraged to display the Mosta or Maltese flag to help create a festive atmosphere for this special occasion.

Streets: Vjal il-Kungress Ewkaristiku, Triq it-Torri, Triq Glormu Cassar, Triq il-Ħarifa, Triq Ponsonby, Triq il-Barrieri, and Pjazza Rotunda.

Rispett jixraq lil kulħadd – residenti u ħaddiema.

​Faċli li dejjem nikkritikaw lill-Kunsill Lokali għax l-affarijiet ma jkunux perfetti, jew għax naħsbu li l-kennies mhux qed jgħaddi. Iżda tajjeb li nkunu ġusti u nħarsu lejn il-fatti:

qabel din il-leġiżlattura, il-Mosta kellha biss 4 kenniesa. Illum, grazzi għal xogħol kontinwu, għandna 16-il ħaddiem iddedikati għat-tindif.

​Bħala Kunsill Lokali, ma nistgħux nibqgħu dejjem siekta. Fil-granet u gimghat li ghaddew, f'din iż-żona speċifika, qabbadna lill-kenniesa tagħna biex inaddfu sewwa u anke jaqalgħu l-ħaxix ħażin mit-toroq.

Sfortunatament, illum il-ġurnata r-riżultat fi Triq id-Dawr u Triq l-Istitutur reġa' huwa dak li qed taraw fir-ritratti.

​Il-Kunsill qed jagħmel l-almu tiegħu, iżda r-rispett irid jiġi mir-residenti wkoll, ħbieb. Indafa tfisser responsabbiltà minn kulħadd.

​Mutual Respect: For our Residents and our Workers.

​It is very easy to point fingers at the Local Council whenever things aren’t perfect, or to assume that sweeping services aren't being provided. However, it is only fair to look at the facts:

prior to this legislature, Mosta only had 4 sweepers. Today, we have increased that number to 16 dedicated workers.

​As a Council, we cannot remain silent. Just recently, we deployed our sweepers to this specific area to carry out thorough cleaning and weeding. Unfortunately, today we are once again facing the sight you see in these photos in Triq id-Dawr and Triq l-Istitutur.

​The Council is doing its utmost, but respect must also come from the residents. Keeping our locality clean is a shared responsibility.

Gnien Mithna Qadima

Bħalissa, kif jaf kulħadd, ix-xogħol fuq il-Ġnien tal-Mitħna l-Qadima għaddej ġmielu.

​Kif diġà spjegajna qabel, iltqajna ma’ diversi diffikultajiet matul it-triq, imma m'iniex se noqgħod nirrepeti ruħi dwarhom.

Il-verità hi li bqajna għaddejjin u l-affarijiet qed jieħdu l-forma grazzi Public Works Dept - Project Green u l-istess Kunsill Lokali Mosta.
​Ftit tal-ġimgħat ilu konna semmejna li qed isir il-cladding mad-dawra kollha. Dan issa tlesta b'suċċess u nistgħu ngħaddu għall-pass li jmiss. Grazzi għal Project Green, illum komplejna bit-tħawwil tal-ewwel arbuxelli u sigar.

​Wara li jitlesta dan, imiss li jsiru ż-zebra crossings fuq il-ġnub u bħala Kunsill se nibdew ukoll inwaħħlu l-bankijiet biex il-ġnien ikun jista' jitgawda.

​Nkomplu nsebbu l-Mosta tagħna! Grazzi ħafna tal-paċenzja ta' kulħadd u niskużaw ruħna għal kull inkonsistenza jew inkonvenjent li nħoloq.

​As we’ve previously shared, we ran into a few hurdles along the way—but there's no need to dwell on the past. What matters is that we're moving forward and making great progress.
​A few weeks back, we mentioned that the cladding work around the perimeter was starting. We’re happy to report that this is now complete, and we’ve moved on to the next phase. Thanks to Project Green Malta, the tilling of the soft areas kicked and we’ve already started planting some beautiful shrubs.

​Once this phase is wrapped up, work will begin on the surrounding zebra crossings, and as a Council, we will also start installing the new benches.

​Let’s keep making Mosta beautiful! Thank you all so much for your ongoing patience, and we sincerely apologize for any temporary inconvenience caused.

Qegħdin nagħtu prijorità biex dawn il-pjanti jinżammu fl-aqwa stat tagħhom, kif ukoll biex iż-żibel jinġabar kemm jista’ jkun malajr.

🚨 We need to keep our area clean. We appeal to everyone not to litter and not to place rubbish on the pots or plants.

We are making it a priority to keep these plants in the best possible condition, while also ensuring that rubbish is collected as quickly as possible.
