The Embassy team were so excited to have the opportunity to join Masters in Maritime Archaeology students (including many Irish students) from University of Malta at a live underwater excavation. Some of our team snorkelled above the site and got to see the excavation up close.

As part of the European Archaeology Days Heritage Malta in collaboration with the University will hold an open day at the site this Friday 12th June. More information can be found here https://heritagemalta.mt/whats-on/european-archaeology-days-salina-bay-excavation-open-day/

Delighted to be part of the launch of Refugee Week which runs from 15-21 June. Great atmosphere and fabulous cuisine! Nice to see our craft efforts in the bunting too 😀

This year’s theme is “Courage from the Heart”, Qlubija, or Misneach in the Irish language.

It was a pleasure to welcome Naoufel Gaied, the new Executive Secretary of The International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ), and his colleagues, to hear about the work being done on countering terrorism and transnational crime, and collaborations with Ireland.

Best wishes for your new mandate and looking forward to future cooperation with the ILJ.

We enjoyed the Blue Door Education workshop enormously even with our rusty sewing skills! Such a lovely afternoon of collaborating with a wide range of people.

Today, on International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, we mark the progress made on the rights of LGBTIQ+ people.
It is unacceptable that LGBTIQ+ people continue to face discrimination, harassment, and violence for being who they are.
Ireland will continue to call for further steps to realise the full equality of LGBTIQ+ persons at home and globally.

Inniu, ar an Lá Idirnáisiúnta in aghaidh na homafóibe, na trasfhóibe agus na défhóibe, déanaimid ceiliúradh ar an dul chun cinn atá déanta maidir le cearta daoine LADTIA+.
Is do-ghlactha é go mbíonn ar dhaoine LADTIA+ dul i ngleic leis an idirdhealú, le ciapadh agus le foréigean mar gheall ar an bhféiniúlacht atá acu.
Leanfaidh Éire uirthi ag éileamh go nglacfaí céimeanna breise le comhionannas iomlán daoine LADTIA+ a bhaint amach sa bhaile agus ar fud an domhain.

We’re really looking forward to this screening of the National Theatre Live’s performance of JM Synge’s The Pl***oy of the Western World with Éanna Hardwicke, Siobhan McSweeney and Nicola Coughlan. Did you know Nicola was an Erasmus student at UM back in the day?!
