MT: Qed naqsmu magħkom it-tielet vidjow tas-sensiela tagħna li tippromwovi s-settur artiġjanali f'Malta.

L-armar li jżejjen it-toroq u l-pjazez waqt il-festi Maltin hu maħdum bl-idejn minn ħafna voluntiera dedikati. Mix-xoghol fuq l-istatwi u dak tal-bandalori li jżejnu t-toroq, sax-xogħol fuq il-logħob tan-nar spettakolari, dan jagħmel il-festa Maltija tant unika, u huwa xhieda tas-sengħa u tal-ispirtu komunitarju ta’ ħafna voluntiera.

Ara dan il-filmat u skopri l-ħidma wara waħda mill-aktar tradizzjonijiet għeżież tal-kultura Maltija – il-festa.

Jekk inti artiġjan u m’intix irreġistrat fir-Reġistru tal-Artiġjanat, issa huwa ż-żmien li tirreġistra. Skopri iktar billi tmur fuq: craftsregister.gov.mt

Our office in collaboration with the Malta Crafts Foundation , Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO and the European Commission organised a seminar on Geographical Indications for Crafts and Industrial Products. As from 1 December 2025, producers across the European Union and beyond can apply to register their craft and industrial products as geographical indications (GIs) under Regulation (EU) 2023/2411. To qualify for geographical indication protection, products must
• have a strong connection to their geographical origin (place, region or country)
• have a quality, reputation, or other characteristic linked to a specific place, region, or country
• include at least 1 stage of production carried out in the specified area

This seminar was an important step to create awareness amongst Maltese craftspersons through various presentations as well as a hands-on exercise and group discussion.
