The Victim Support Agency, together with the SRT, is providing support and assistance to those affected in today’s Imqabba incident.

The Agency appeals to the public and the media to exercise prudence and sensitivity given undergoing police investigations and to refrain from speculation or the sharing of unverified information.

During this difficult time, we encourage everyone to respect the privacy and dignity of those affected and the people involved.

Our CEO, Brian Farrugia, addressed the conference “Safe and Dignified Workplaces for Women”, organised by DIER.

Creating a space for open dialogue and collaboration is essential to identifying challenges, sharing good practices, and ensuring that victims’ rights are respected, protected, and safeguarded throughout their journey.
Working together, we can build a stronger, more responsive support system that places the rights, dignity, safety, and wellbeing of victims at its centre.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting with stakeholders in Gozo who work tirelessly to support victims of crime.

The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and continue working towards a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring a more coordinated and victim-centred response.

We also discussed peer-to-peer aggression, highlighting the importance of prevention, early intervention and strong cooperation between professionals and services.

Together, through shared knowledge, collaboration and commitment, we can continue strengthening support for victims of crime 🧡
