🌍🇪🇺 Yesterday, the Gozo Business Chamber delivered a presentation as part of the Erasmus+ project “Exploring European Identity Through Culture & Entrepreneurial Innovation”, coordinated by Sir M.A. Refalo Sixth Form, bringing together students from Sweden and Gozo for an inspiring intercultural experience. 🤝✨

During the session, Daniel Borg, CEO of the Chamber, delivered a presentation focusing on:

🌐 European identity and cultural diversity
💡 Entrepreneurship and innovation in Gozo
👥 Inclusion, migration, and intercultural dialogue
🇪🇺 The importance of Erasmus+ opportunities for youth
🏝️ How Gozo’s local identity connects with wider European values

The discussion encouraged students to reflect on how diversity, dialogue, and youth engagement continue to shape both Gozo and Europe’s future - truly reflecting the EU motto “United in Diversity.” 💙💛

Daniel Borg was accompanied by Jesmond Buttigieg, Manager of EUROPE DIRECT Gozo.

The Gozo Business Chamber would like to thank Sir M.A. Refalo Sixth Form, the educators involved, and all participating students for the warm welcome and engaging discussions. 👏📚🌟

Professional growth goes beyond the school — it is about embracing new ideas, developing resilience, and continuously learning.

This week, members of our technical staff from Sir M.A. Refalo Sixth Form travelled to Bergamo to participate in the Erasmus+ funded course Stress and Conflict Management: The Way to Resilience and Satisfaction, organised by ELA Erasmus Learning Academy.

Through our Erasmus+ Accreditation, we remain committed to investing in the professional development of all our staff — empowering them to think outside the box, strengthen their skills, and return with fresh ideas that enrich our whole school community.

By looking beyond the walls of the classroom, we open doors to innovation, resilience and continuous improvement. 🇪🇺

We concluded our final Erasmus+ project for this academic year with our friends from Jämtlands Gymnasium — a week filled with meaningful experiences, cultural exchange and inspiring discussions under the theme Exploring European Identity Through Culture and Entrepreneurial Innovation.

Our students participated in engaging workshops, explored the historic Citadel through a fun photo hunt, immersed themselves in the rich culture of Valletta, including a memorable visit to the Parliament House, and met local entrepreneurs at Magro Food Village, gaining valuable insight into innovation, business development and European cooperation.

A sincere thank you to our distinguished speakers who enriched this programme with their expertise — Dr Christian Zammit from Gozo Regional Development Authority, Mr Daniel Borg, CEO of Gozo Business Chamber, and Ms Jennifer Cauchi from Aġenzija Żgħażagħ for her engaging workshop and valuable contribution.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to all staff, students, partners and collaborators whose dedication and cooperation made this project such a memorable success. Together, we continue opening doors, building friendships and creating learning experiences that truly go beyond borders. 🇪🇺🇲🇹🇸🇪

We were delighted to welcome students from HLW Weiz to Sir M.A. Refalo Sixth Form for a memorable week of activities as part of an Erasmus+ project.

Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in a vibrant programme of cultural exchange, learning and collaboration. The visit began with a warm welcome at school, followed by a guided tour of the Citadel and an engaging photo hunt, where students explored multilingual signs and discovered Gozo’s linguistic and cultural richness.

The programme also included interactive workshops and group presentations focusing on language, food, traditions and places that shape our identities, creating meaningful dialogue between students from Gozo and Austria. Students also took part in a youth workshop organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, encouraging teamwork, participation and active citizenship, while a traditional weaving workshop led by Ms Alda Bugeja gave students hands-on insight into Gozo’s rich artisan heritage.

A truly memorable week of friendship, discovery and European learning — exactly what Erasmus+ is all about. 🇪🇺
