🌍 WORLD CLEANUP DAY 2026 — LA NICOLIÈRE, MAURITIUS

One hour. Around 100 kg of waste. A powerful reminder that every action matters.

The Brahma Kumaris Global Peace House came together with UNA MAURITIUS and volunteers
for a World Cleanup Day action at La Nicolière.

In just one hour of cleanup, around 100 kg of waste was collected — with plastic bottles making up a significant portion of what was found.

Beyond the weight of the waste, the activity highlighted something even more important: the choices we make every day have an impact on our land, our water and ultimately our oceans.

🌱 Every bottle removed is one less piece of plastic left in the environment.
💧 Every clean space helps protect our waterways.
🤝 Every volunteer demonstrates the power of collective action.

The cleanup was not only about collecting waste. It was an opportunity to connect people with nature, raise awareness about responsible waste management, and inspire a stronger culture of environmental stewardship.
