🙏 A Big Thank You! ⚽

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr Samy Chellen, former Mayor of Curepipe, for his valuable liaison in arranging a friendly match between a team from Réunion Island and our deaf futsal team.

It was a great day of fun, friendship, fair play, and sharing experiences through sport last Sunday 6 September 2026. 🇲🇺🤝🇷🇪🤝⚽

We are especially grateful to Mr Samy for his support, which has enabled our team to train in futsal free of charge every Sunday. We truly appreciate his continued support and commitment to our team. 🙏

We also had the pleasure of playing with a team of coaches introduced to us by Mr Jiovany. It was a great experience and a memorable day for everyone.

A special thank you to our coaches Mr Mahen, Mr Giovanni, and Mr Jiovany for their dedication, guidance, and support. 👏

Let us continue promoting friendship, inclusion, fair play, and the development of deaf sport through futsal. ⚽💙

⚽🇲🇺 Friendship, Fair Play & Inclusion Through Sport! 🤝

A special thank you to the Dis Moi Team and Association Sportive Malherbe Team for joining the Mauritius Deaf Sports Federation today, Sunday, at the David James Burty Gymnasium, Curepipe, for a great friendly futsal encounter. ⚽👏

It was a wonderful day of camaraderie, friendship, teamwork and fair play, bringing everyone together through the love of sport. ❤️

🙏 A big thank you to the Dis Moi Team for kindly providing refreshments for all players and officials. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!

A heartfelt thank you to Team Flamingo for inviting the Mauritius Deaf Football Team and, most importantly, for always including us despite our Deafness. Your support, respect, and commitment to inclusion mean so much to us.

Today, we had a wonderful friendly match at the Agreement Football Complex in St Pierre. Although the Mauritius Deaf Football Team lost 4–1, the score was not what mattered most. It was a beautiful moment of friendship, sharing, fair play, and sportsmanship that brought us all together.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr Veeren and his family for the medals and refreshments generously provided. Even though Mr Veeren is now living far away from Mauritius, in Italy, he has never forgotten us. His kindness and continued support are deeply appreciated.

We will always remember how Mr Veeren volunteered his time to train us in the past and cared for us like family. His dedication has left a lasting impact on our team and our lives.

Thank you once again to Team Flamingo, Mr Veeren, and everyone who made this memorable day possible. Together, we continue to prove that football has the power to unite, inspire, and include everyone.

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Salman at the young age of 25.
The Mauritius Deaf Community extends its heartfelt condolences to Salman's family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. His loss is deeply felt by our community, and we share in the grief of those mourning him today.
May Salman be remembered for the life he lived, the friendships he shared, and the impact he made on those around him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Salman. You will not be forgotten. 🤍🕊️

🏆🎉 Congratulations to winner Mauritius team

A fantastic victory as Mauritius secured a 4–0 win against Rodrigues in Final today! ⚽👏
Both teams played excellently and showed true fair play and sportsmanship 🤝
