some 1400 years ago, a Man, whom some say he is just like everyone else, said the following about a developing foetus:
Al-Mu'minun - 23
Walaqad khalaqna al-insana minsulalatin min teen
- And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.
Thumma jaAAalnahu nutfatan feeqararin makeen
- Then We placed him as a sperm-drop1 in a firm lodging [i.e., the womb].
Thumma khalaqna annutfataAAalaqatan fakhalaqna alAAalaqata mudghatanfakhalaqna almudghata AAithamanfakasawna alAAithama lahmanthumma ansha/nahu khalqan akhara fatabarakaAllahu ahsanu alkhaliqeen
- Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allāh, the best of creators.
Thumma innakum baAAda thalikalamayyitoon
- Then indeed, after that you are to die.
Thumma innakum yawma alqiyamatitubAAathoon
- then on the Day of Judgment you will be resurrected.
