Women Freethinkers Mauritius

Women Freethinkers Mauritius Nos trois objectifs sont:
1. Valoriser la femme
2. Redonner du souffle à la force féminine
3. Combattre l'inégalité chez la femme Who are we?

We are a team of women having one main objective - FIGHTING WOMEN INEQUALITY. We have our own laws and principles, aiming to become the best version(s) of ourselves. We believe that women empowering other women, is the most magical phenomenon in the world. When a woman is valued, she sparkles. We equally donate (which is an obligation for us), every month, around a particular theme so we can simul

taneously do a life reflection and enjoy the feeling of personal satisfaction. We also believe that men do have their contribution to women empowerment, too. One of our projects to support WOMEN EQUALITY is the movement . To join our Club and form part of our sisterhood, send us a message.

On the busy streets of Bihar’s Chhapra, little Taiba Afroz would ask her father, “Papa, how do these cars and buses run? I want to drive them too.” That childhood curiosity has now turned into reality: Taiba, who once imagined her bicycle’s handle as a plane’s cockpit, is now flying real airplanes.

Born in a poor family in Jalalpur, Saran district, Taiba’s journey was anything but easy. When the pandemic shut down her father’s ration shop, her mother made a bold choice, selling their land to fund Taiba’s dream of becoming a pilot. “People sell land for their daughters’ weddings, I sold mine to make my daughter a pilot,” she says.

In 2020, Taiba completed her training at the Government Aviation Training Institute, Bhubaneswar. She flew 100 hours solo before earning her DGCA license. Today, she’s a successful pilot, earning a lucrative salary.

Even after her achievement, society’s mindset posed challenges. Some objected to her uniform, but she stood firm, “My uniform is my identity.”

Now, she dreams of flying her parents as passengers, making them proud. Her journey proves that with determination and family support, even the sky isn’t the limit.
