Goodlands, Mauritius Goodlands is a town in Rivière du Rempart District in the northeast of Mauritius. It has a populati The local football team is Marche de l'Unité à Goodland.

It is a notable centre for Sugar production in Mauritius and contains a sugar factory and extensive green sugar cane fields to the south.[3][4] There are several mansions in the area which were the houses of the plantation owners during colonial times.[4] Schools in the town include Friendship College Boys and Doorgachurn Hurry Government School.[2] Festivals celebrated in the town include Thaipus

am and Sittirei Cavadee. There is a town market, Goodlands Market, a post office, and a pharmacy, all located near the sugar factory in the southeastern part of the town
