Individuals intending to marry this weekend or in the coming days are advised to ensure that their marriages are officiated and duly registered by a marriage registrar recognized by the Government, and that they are issued with an official marriage certificate bearing the Government emblem.

Members of the public are further advised to verify that the officiating clergy or marriage officer is legally authorized to conduct marriages under the law. An authentic marriage certificate should conform to the official format prescribed by the Government.
