¿Sabías que en nuestros estanques flota un mito viviente capaz de calentar su propio cuerpo en la noche? 🪷
No es un simple nenúfar. Es la legendaria Nenúfar Gigante del Amazonas (Victoria amazonica): una obra maestra botánica de tres metros de diámetro con una arquitectura tan perfecta que inspiró la construcción de un palacio en el siglo XIX... y que hoy habita en el corazón de nuestro jardín. 🏛️✨

🔥 Un corazón que produce calor: En su primera noche, esta flor eleva su temperatura interna para esparcir un aroma hipnótico, esperando a un polinizador que quedó en su Amazonas natal (el escarabajo de la especie Cyclocephala castanea).
🎨 La metamorfosis de 48 horas: Nace de un blanco purísimo en su fase femenina y se despide teñida de un intenso rosa rubí en su fase masculina.
🌕 Una leyenda viva: Según el mito, nació del amor entre una joven y la Luna; hoy, su ingeniería sumergida sigue desafiando la física y fascinando a la ciencia (¡incluso tras el hallazgo de su especie hermana, Victoria boliviana, en 2022!).

It’s no ordinary water lily. It is the legendary Giant Waterlily (Victoria amazonica): a botanical masterpiece three meters in diameter with an architecture so perfect that it inspired the construction of a 19th-century palace... and today, it lives in the heart of our garden. 🏛️✨

🔥 A heart that generates heat: On its first night, this flower raises its internal temperature to spread a hypnotic scent, waiting for a pollinator left behind in its native Amazon (the scarab beetle Cyclocephala castanea).
🎨 The 48-hour metamorphosis: It opens in pure white during its female phase and says goodbye tinted in deep ruby pink during its male phase.
🌕 A living legend: According to myth, it was born from the love between a young woman and the Moon; today, its submerged engineering continues to defy physics and fascinate science (even after the discovery of its sister species, Victoria boliviana, in 2022!).
