Today, Mr. Syed Naveed Qamar, member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and President of the Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA), emphasized the importance of training legislators to meet the challenges of implementing and managing tools for continuous improvement while Mexican authorities highlighted the importance of an “International Program for Oceans Environmental Restoration,” which includes the establishment of protected marine areas in the high seas and the development of financial regulations for international governance.

Ambassador Shozab Abbas called on H.E. Mr. Javier Martínez Acha Vásquez, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, in Mexico City during his official visit to Mexico.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review Pakistan–Panama bilateral relations and to exchange views on strengthening cooperation, including early progress on the MoU on Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) and the Visa Abolition Agreement for Diplomatic and Official Passport holders.

H.E. Shozab Abbas, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Mexico and concurrently accredited to Guatemala, met with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Ms. Mónica Bolaños Pérez.

Ways to further strengthen bilateral relations including proposed agreements on bilateral political consultations and a potential Visa Exemption Agreement were discussed.

The commitment of both countries to dialogue, cooperation, and international law was also reaffirmed.

S.E. Shozab Abbas, Embajador de la República Islámica de Pakistán en México y concurrente ante Guatemala, se reunió con la Viceministra de Relaciones Exteriores de Guatemala, la Sra. Mónica Bolaños Pérez.

Durante el encuentro se abordaron diversas vías para seguir fortaleciendo las relaciones bilaterales, incluyendo la consideración de acuerdos sobre consultas políticas bilaterales y un posible Acuerdo de Exención de Visas.

Asimismo, se reafirmó el compromiso de ambos países con el diálogo, la cooperación y el derecho internacional.
