Swiss graphic design is all about one thing: clarity. Clean lines, simple layouts, easy-to-read typefaces and design that puts function before decoration.

From Helvetica and Univers to public signage, transport maps and corporate identities, Swiss design became internationally influential from the 1950s onwards — shaping how we navigate and understand information.

The philosophy is simple: good design should make information easy to understand.

🇨🇭 Happy Swiss National Day! 🇨🇭

What a wonderful evening celebrating the 735th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation at the Swiss Residence in Kuala Lumpur!

We were delighted to welcome our Malaysian partners, members of the Swiss community, political leaders, diplomatic colleagues, business, civil society and media representatives to celebrate our National Day together.

Switzerland and Malaysia have different histories, societies and institutions, but both countries have in common to be multilingual, multireligious and multicultural, a diversity that we embrace in our national identity. The evening was an opportunity to celebrate the partnerships, connections, and shared values that continue to bring our two nations closer. 🇨🇭🤝🇲🇾

It was our privilege to welcome our Guest of Honour, Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs), and Dato Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah, President of the Senate, for joining us on this special occasion.

More than 350 guests enjoyed the vibrant and convivial atmosphere enriched by the traditional Swiss raclette. Among them, it was a pleasure to welcome Swiss athlete Louis Margot, currently undertaking a solo, human-powered journey around the world. What an inspiring adventure!

A new chapter at the Embassy: Huge thank you, Ralph Stamm, and very warm welcome, Alexander Schärer.

As Ralph A. Stamm completes his tenure as Deputy Head of Mission, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for his team spirit, professionalism and the many contributions he has made during his time in the role. We wish him every success in his next posting in Bern.

At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Alexander Schärer joining us from Tashkent and we look forward to working together in the years ahead.
