Did you know that every two seconds, someone needs blood? Your donation can be the difference between life and death for patients in need!
Come join in for the upcoming Blood Drive Campaign and help save lives! This Community Event is organized by Sukarelawan Jalanan Sarawak collaborating with Pihak Unit Tabung Darah Hospital Sri Aman. This campaign aims to ensure that all blood types are sufficiently available during the Ramadan Season.

From one of our Rural Library under the Administration of Majlis Daerah Sri Aman, Perpustakaan Desa Lingga was pleased to organize "Pertandingan Reka Cipta menggunakan Bahan Kitar Semula" in aligned with our SDG(Sustainable Development Goals) Number 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Inventing with recycled items is significant for as it can impact the environment, cost effective, educational value, last but not least, promoting a sustainability mindset amongst the students.
We are very proud of today's generation especially the students from the schools of SK Lela Pahlawan and also SJK C Chung Hua Lingga as these students have shown their commitment by showing their creativity and resourcefulness. Besides, this teaches them about sustainable practices, innovation and the importance of enviromental responsibility!

Thank you to our local community Counsellor, CR Shirley Mayang for giving her support towards our library activity! Not forgetting their teachers guiding them throughout the competition!

Today, recycle for a better tomorrow. Reduce wasting natural resources. Reuse, recycle, and reduce the waste for a better future. Increase greenery by recycling waste.

14 October 2024.

What an amazing time we had at our storytelling activity! From local folktales to heartfelt moments, our little storytellers from various schools around Sri Aman truly brought their imaginations to life. Thank you to our little friends who shared their stories and made it a magical experience for us here at the library!

SK Sri Aman

We would also like to thank our compatible judge CR Suhaili,Madam Suzana Ishak and also Mr Ng Tse Mui for judging this storytelling competition, fair and square!
Not forgetting our reliable Local Community Counsellors, CR Munan and also CR Chin Li Li for supporting our event! Thank you so much for your kind gratitude too!

Here at Perpustakaan Awam Sri Aman, we always welcome everyone with a open heart and arms and we were given a great opportunity once again to "work" together with our little friends from PPKI (Program Pendididkan Khas Integrasi) schools in Sri Aman Community.
Our little "sukaneka" or you can either call it "mini-sports carnival" was held here at the lobby entrance of our Perpustakaan Awam Sri Aman on the 11 October 2024. The respected schools were mainly:
1) PPKI Sekolah Kebangsaan Abang Aing
2) PPKI SJK (C) Chung Hua Simanggang
3) PPKI Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Aman
There were 40 students with us that morning and we did some fun games which were playing with balloons, some simple multiplication arithmetic, last but not least a simple game which require observation, "separating the nuts" game! The students even had a short visit to our "Perpustakaan Bergerak"aka The "Mobile Library". Oh, what fun it was!
The morning activity ended with some prize giving ceremony for our every students in this event! No child is ever left behind!
We would also like to give a big Shout out and thank you to our Local Community Counsellors especially Cr Bakthiar Bin Mathan, Cr Joshua Fam,and also Cr Standely anak James Batang for involving themselves actively in this event! We were greatly motivated to do more in the future!
Big hugs and cheers to the teachers/special educators who attended this event! We know it is not an easy job! But you guys make it seems so simple and fun! You are all angels!
