WORLD CANCER DAY 2024

4th February 2024
In conjunction with World Cancer Day, a cancer awareness programme was organised by the Lady of Lourdes Church.

Religious leaders of all faiths were invited to this event and had a round table discussion on how to raise public awareness about cancer.
Furthermore, many cancer survivors shared their survival journeys during the personal experience sharing session.

Ms. Praveeniah, Honourable Secretary and In-Charge Person of Interfaith Affairs of UMHV, and UMHV team members joined this event on behalf of UMHV.

36 TIMES KANTHA SASTHI KAVASAM PARAYANAM

It was an auspicious day at Sri Subramaniyar Swamy Alayam as the Kantha Sasthi Kavasam Parayanam versus was recited for 36 times. This religious ceremony commenced at 6am and was concluded at 6pm.

UMHV team which was leaded by Ms. Kugapriya from Special Action Force has participated in this event.

Malaysia Hindu Dharma Maamandram hosted a culturally significant Pongal Celebration at Thevi Sri Maha Mariamman Temple.

Mr. Karthigeyan, the head of Finance Department of UMHV, Mr. Sharvin Raman, Finance Department of UMHV and Mr. Yuwen, The head of Spokesperson dept from UMHSL has attended this cultural evening. This event beautifully intertwined tradition and unity, highlighting our cultural heritage.
