Similajau is located in the central coastal region of Sarawak, Borneo Malaysia, it is the last stand of tropical rainforest in the area surrounded by development and industries.

To protect sea turtles during their nesting season, it is essential to keep the beach clean, dark, and flat. This helps ensure the safety of both nesting turtles and hatchlings.

📌Similajau National Park will remain closed indefinitely for a major tourism project under the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12) by MOTAC to address safety concerns.

🚧 Key upgrades include:
🔹 Repairing the unsafe suspension bridge
🔹 Restoring visitor accommodations
🔹 Fixing uneven pavements & damaged fences

Closed since September 10, 2024, SFC is committed to ensuring a safe & improved experience before reopening. Stay tuned for updates!
