(HARMONICO) was established on 10 March 2021 under the Penang Chief Minister’s Incorporation (CMI) as an implementing agency to oversee matters pertaining to religions other than Islam and to execute plans and policies that will promote and bring about an inclusive and harmonious society in Malaysia. HARMONICO aims to build and promote the new concept of religious harmony so as to meet the challen

ges posed by religious diversity in a globalized world. On the basis of recognizing religious diversity and differences, all religions should enhance mutual understanding and empathy through dialogue, shoulder the common responsibility of upholding peace and justice through cooperation, and foster intra- and inter-religious harmony and harmony between the religious community and the larger society. HARMONICO believes that better understanding between different races and religions is the key to bridge the gap. It is HARMONICO‘s role to actively coordinate issues related to non-Muslim affairs and state/federal government assistance to non-Muslim Houses of Worship (RIBI), to be the reference point for all non-Muslim Houses of Worship (RIBI) associations or organizations, monitor the eRIBI system, organise religious festivals and programs for religions other than Islam at State Government level and promote Penang as a religious tourism destination.

“Mankind has an innate desire to observe and seek understanding of the different cultures that exist in the world.”
These desires to observe and understand different ways of life, traditions, values, and belief systems constitute the very platform of tourism. For domestic tourists, cultural heritage can stimulate a greater understanding in the local history, which may transcend into the feeling of pride and patriotism. It is imperative to promote the principle of ‘harmony without uniformity’ and learn to respect each other and jointly shoulder social responsibilities. The HARMONICO’s programmes are organised and extended to our community of all faiths.

这不是一本枯燥的文献，而是作者 程文慧 历时一年多的田野笔触。她走访理事、老信徒与乩童，只为抢救那些正在消逝的民间记忆。

新书发布当天，我们更有幸请到 陈爱梅博士 与作者展开一场从“田野”到“学术”的深度对谈。

What an incredible evening of warmth, hearty food, colourful culture, and togetherness at the Penang Vaisakhi Open House 2026! 🌾💛

From the vibrant colours of traditional attire to the uplifting spirit of seva, the event beautifully showcased the richness of Sikh heritage while welcoming people from all walks of life. Guests were treated to delicious langar, cultural performances, and meaningful conversations that reflected the true essence of community and inclusivity.

A heartfelt appreciation to the guest of honour TYT Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Ramli Bin Ngah Talib, Yang Di-Pertua Negeri Pulai Pinang, and Yang Mulia, Toh Puah Dato' Sero Noora Ashikin Raja Abdullah, for gracing the celebration, to organisers, volunteers, and the Sikh community for opening their doors and sharing this joyous celebration with Penang.

Moments like these remind us that diversity is not just something we celebrate, it is something we live together.
